haha, thanks. I wasn't a big fan of the XXRs at all.

Thanks man! I can't claim responsibility though- it was all my good friend Toby Broadfield that did the custom work.

Finally managed to find enough free time and motivation to get my gauges wired up last night. I'm happy to have them working and the wiring out of the way. A couple of quick pics:

And a lame video of the "opening/closing sequences" as Defi calls them, lol. Really glad I kept these from the 240:

I also traded an Evo M member for an Evo 9 cup holder. This removes the intercooler sprayer button and looks a lot cleaner IMO. My intercooler sprayer tank had a crack in it and I never even checked to see if it worked properly. The IX never had a sprayer to my knowledge, so I ditched all of that stuff when I swapped front bumpers.

Before:

After:

I still need to toss the IX pedals in and then I'll probably be done with the interior for a little while. I've got some exterior related stuff that I haven't posted up yet because I'm hoping to make all of the changes at once when everything is ready. The JDM rear bumper should be here any day though- possibly today. I'll keep you guys posted!

Were the XXR'S a cheap wheel? or was the style of wheel your only issue?

I'm going to go out on a limb, and say it's because they are cheap wheels. He's down for the better brands that are out there...

I'm personally just not into knockoff products. I prefer to support the original designers and Japanese manufacturers whenever I can. So yes, that was the major reason for selling the XXRs. I also didn't like how they looked on the car, wanted to run 18s, and wanted to own a car I could be proud of and consider my own. I've left a couple of the previous owner's modifications in place for now, but most of them have been removed and replaced with items that better fit my personal taste.

Well, I got my JDM headlights yesterday. They're in awesome shape, but unfortunately they turned out to be the non-fog light/halogen RS version. I'd prefer to have the HID version with the fog lights, so I have decided to place them up for sale. Luckily, I found a pair of 8 JDM HID headlights to purchase last night, so those are now on the way.

Here's a shot with one of the 9 headlights mocked up on the car:

And here's the for sale thread in case anyone is interested:

Heading in for an alignment after work today.

I see some un-painted parts..... You better drop them off at the body shop on your way to the alignment rack!

Shhhhh...

Grabbed a couple snaps with the IX JDM headlights on the car that I currently have up for sale. The JDM rear and my JDM VIII MR HID headlights should both be here next week.

I got an alignment yesterday, but I am not really happy with the results. I'll have to take it back in early next week to try to get it straightened out (no pun intended, lol.)

Amazing build. It's not all about big power or stanced but it sure is a great build.

^ Thanks man!

So I wasn't confident in the alignment I received on my car last week. They told me I needed adjustable rear toe arms to get the toe in spec, and that just didn't seem right considering my ride height. They also had to move the front bolt holes on one of the front camber plates to get the camber even from side to side up front. They used to do the same thing with my S13 and it always seemed very odd to me. When it happened with the Evo as well on the same side, I knew something was up with their rack calibration.

I took the car in to Belle Tire in Brighton on Monday and nearly every parameter was way out of spec. Pretty crazy! Glad I got a second opinion, because the first place's method's are clearly not working, lol. The car drives really nicely now and the steering wheel is finally straight.

I encountered some rough weather on the way home and had heard that there was hail on the way, but fortunately it ended up going North of me. I grabbed a couple of quick driveway shots for fun before I put the car away for the night.

I got my Genuine JDM OEM rear bumper from MitsubishiParts.net yesterday, as well as the brackets and whatnot for installation. I also picked up a set of OEM window visors.

I bought this VOLTEX CF exhaust shield from Evasive a few weeks back. A sign of things to come? We'll see I guess...

I dropped the rear bumper off for paint this morning, so I should have that back and ready to go sometime next week. I think I'm going to modify my USDM crash beam to work, but we'll see what I decide on. I should have another update tomorrow.

Wish I would have known you were going to Brighton, I would have told you not to go into that Belle tire. They ****ed my car up badly and then blamed it on the car itself for being out of alignment. I always use Discount tire in Howell, they are much better at what they do and much faster for the most part and don't bull**** you and blame things on you when they **** it up.

Discount Tire does not do alignments. The manager of Discount Tire in New Hudson is one of my best friends, so I always go there for tire mounting/balancing/dismounting, but unfortunately they don't do alignments. I had no major issues with Belle Tire- sorry to hear you had a bad experience.
