That's good to know. They sure ****ed up my car when I took it to them to have my alignment done when I put my coilovers back on the car. They failed to tighten one of the tie rod ends and not only did it wear out, wasted one of my tires and they refused to fix it being it was a while before I noticed it. I would go under the car and make sure all that ****s tight and don't make the same mistake by not doing it.

Thanks man! Not sure of the part number, but here's the link to where I got them:

http://www.mitsubishiparts.net/catalog/?section=1102

Swapped out the JDM IX halogen headlights for the JDM VIII HID headlights last night. I still need to figure out the fog lights, but otherwise everything works great. Really changes the look of the car!

Quick snaps:

All of my parts are in for paint as of this morning, so that stuff should be done next week.

Thanks man!

I got my JDM rear back from Superior Collision last night. Looks pretty solid! I'm hoping to install it tonight.

I also added a Tomei plug cover to match the oil cap. Here's a lame super pic:

I've got a few items to install this weekend and next week, so I'll keep the updates coming.

Thanks guys!

I installed my JDM rear bumper and Voltex CF burn shield last weekend. The process wasn't too painful at all and it took be about three hours total to drill out the rivets on the stock retainer, install it on the JDM bumper, and modify the USDM license plate lights/ plate bracket to sit correctly. I still need to hack up the factory bumper beam and have it welded, then I can reinstall that. I didn't end up needing any of the JDM brackets/retainers I bought from Mitsubishi Parts- it seemed like some components were missing from what was offered. I'd just use the USDM stuff and modify it- pretty straightforward thanks to a few how-tos I read here on the forums.

Here are a couple quick cell shots of the bumper installed. Really wakes up the exterior of the car:

I also installed some other exterior goodies and have more on the way, but I'll save a post about that a little later... expect an update next week.

Just ordered mine the other day and I pick it up in July! Cant wait. I was never a fan of red cars in general, but your RR looks sick buddy. When you get a chance, can you take detailed pics of the Voltex CF exhaust shield. I'm also thinking about getting one. KCCO!

Looks great, Damon! Planning for a vortex generator on the roof to complete the look?

Definitely helps the look of the car for sure! More on that box later in this post, haha.

Thanks! I'll try to grab a pic of it sometime, but it fits well. I got it from Evasive.

I bought the Tomei catback specifically designed for the JDM rear and was running it with the USDM rear until I got the bumper, so it's all good to go now!

Thanks Eric! Definitely considering it...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So, as usual, I've gone down my typical path of getting sucked in and doing more than I had planned to yet again. I ordered an authentic Voltex Evo IX front lip/half spoiler and pair of Voltex side skirts from Mike at Evasive a while back, had them painted, and tossed them on the car a couple weeks ago. I'm not finished quite yet with the exterior, but I'm pleased with the direction it is heading. I'm sure it won't be for everyone, but that's the way it goes!

Here are some pics along the way:

And a few pics of the car completed (for now):

A couple pics this weekend with my buddy David's car (formerly Gary's car):

(My daughter snuck her car in the middle, lol)

The rear obviously doesn't flow all that well with the sides right now since it is so much higher, but I've got some other exterior items arriving this week that should help. I'm eventually hoping to do a Voltex wing of some sort, but that might not go down until next spring. I might try wingless in the mean time- I guess we'll see what happens!
