I have the newest gun dipyourride offers. It does have replace able nozzles but it doesent come with other nozzles.

is that the red or your car red with the clear matte?

 

Im pretty sure its the matte clear. His older pic show a rally red color. Plus the dipped red looks like a crayon color. This doesnt. By looks good though.

 

Its actually painted with the red from plasti dip. Added red tint and satin clear

 

had me fooled. best job on the red so far. care to share the break down of it for people? I myself decided to get the car wrapped. Goad_white beat me to the matte metallic blue color, but that's what i'm going with myself on my car. waiting to get it back next week.

 

Yeah came out pretty good considering my GF finished the job for me lol. Its been a journey through this whole dipping process lol. Anyway, 3 gallons of red plasti dip, added some red tint + gloss clear and matte clear to give it that satin finish.

 

So I scored a deal with a set of Voltex rear quarter panel and VIS front fenders and needed paint ASAP. After a couple days of thinking bout what to do with paint. I finally called Dip your car and worked out a deal with plasti dip and next thing you know... Had the paint in my hands that same weekend ...

With not enough garage space, I rented out a 30x30' storage unit

heres the first couple of coats.



Then by the end of the week i was told I had to leave the storage unit because of property abuse lol

but i had my GF finish the job for me while i was at work


then onto the finished product












Just thought I'd share my experience with plasti dip! Not everyones cup of tea but wanted to try something different. Ill probably only have this on for a couple months and have it resprayed Rally Red. I miss the gloss sometimes

 

i spray can dipped a few parts on my car and with anything more then a slight touch it rubs right off... how does it hold up for you?

 

Pretty good. It wasnt out of a rattle can. They sent me plasti dip pre thinned by the gallon and used a spray gun to spray it

 

i assumed which is why i asked...

 

looks great!! what prep do you have to do to the factory paint? any sanding or anything or just spray?
