I am pretty sure thats the right offset to be running the 275 17s. I think you may have to roll the rears just a bit depending on how low you go.

We told you no, not recommended without severe rolling of the rears and lots of camber.

So if you're down for rolling/pulling and more than 2 degrees of camber... you're getting into what you expect.

any 17x9 +35mm offset will let you run a 275 sized tire as long as you have clearance on the front caliper.

I ran my evo on that spec rim for years

Here is a picture of the some offset trailing arms. I will get some more pictures when they get on the car (eventually).

Well since I have read this entire thread on more than one occasion and am fairly confident that I can get a quick and accurate yes or no outta yah'll.

I have Enkei NT03+m wheels that I'll be thrown' on the car here soon. I haven't bought tires yet or spacers for the front, but I have the wheels (obviously).

I know the +38 would be ideal (for the rear), however, I got dem TF jons that're all limited edition n' stuff, so all wheels are +27, 18x9.5".

My question lies in tires (hence the thread placement). Through my hours lost to reading on the subject, I decided that my only choice on this offset is 265/35R18. I also decided that if I'll use a 10 or 11 or 12mm spacer (don't know which is optimal), that I can run this tire by only rolling the fenders flat.

I would really like to run a 275/35R18, however, I haven't really seen what it would take for me to run that tire with my offset. I'm willing to work at it, get the EvoDave up front, etc. to fit the 275, however, I don't know if I can get it to fit in the rear with my offset.

Thoughts, o wide tire gurus?

Id say, you will be rolling & pulling w/ a bumper bolt relocate if you plan on a 265/275 tire width & a +27 offset.

Hey, Ever try these calculators? I found them very helpful. Plug-in what youre running currently & your proposed fit & it lays out the difference

Also, lets be clear. Its TREAD not THREAD

I have been searching but I can't find the info. I'm running Evo X wheels now and I'm going to be lowered on Tein S Techs. Can I run 255/40 without rubbing issues? I'm currently on 245/40.

I believe the X wheels are 18x8.5+38. You should be able to run a 255/35 tire with no problems, but I suspect many 255/40's would rub in the rear. That little extra height will catch your rear fenders on compression.

Also keep in mind not that some tires run a bit wider than others. Many performance tires, like dunlop star specs run wide.

Imo, go with a 255/35. If you really want to stick with a XXX/40 but want something 'larger', you might just be better off runnin something like a 245/40 star spec.
