The problem with running wide tires on your car is that it actually improves your vehicle's performance. It's one of those things that are functional improvements, not aesthetic. I don't think you'll find too many of the wide tire guys that don't race their car or enjoy improving the performance of their car. That is the point afterall right? If people want to play dress up they should buy some dolls and play dress up.

So I asked in the wheel fitment sticky, and got no answer so far so I will go ahead and ask in this thread..

I want to bump to a 275mm tire on a 17 inch rim. Hankook states that 9.5 inches is the optimum rim width for this size tire, so I am thinking 9.5 or 10 inch rim. Problem is that I absolutely do not want to use a spacer, and I would rather not roll the fender although I will if it is absolutely necessary. Any ideas on offsets needed??

I am running coil overs, and this is a track car so camber can be on the extreme side. Any ideas? I would really like to stick with the RPF-1 if possible (lightweight and relatively cheap)...If anyone has other options for a comparable rim I am open to ideas though..

I have been running 245/40 Hankook Z214 R-comps, and I want to go to their 275/40 size tire. I know the sidewall will be taller, so what do you guys think? Anyone else running a similar setup with these tires??

^Are you up for running staggered offset? If not, than no. Having been researching wheel fitment for 5 years, I've yet to see an 9.5-10 inch wide wheel in 17 diameter that would meet those criteria of yours.

Well, Im not on the R-comps which run wide but Ive been running the NT05 275/40 on the street

You cant have it both ways, aggressive width w/out making some rear fender modifications. Im rolled, pulled, bumper bolt relocate & a couple of others mods to get my 275's to full clear w/ full suspension travel

My spacerless wheel of choice is the ADVAN RGII 17x9 +29 (see pic)

I dont think I could fit an R-comp at the same spec though

one of the easier options to running spacerless wide wheels are the XXR 527 and the new XXR 530
18x9.75 +20
245 is the widest you will be able to run without rolling the fenders though

I'm picking up 265/35R18 NT555Rs for my 18x9.5 +27 wheels, so we'll see how it works out. I'll be starting off by rolling fenders flat, and may pull the rears a tiny bit if necessary.

Looks like a roll and possibly pull is the only way to go then? I could do that. I really don't want to use spacers though.
