Brakes squeel when pulling into parking spot only.

Hi everyone. I changed my brake pads couple months ago. I used the Hawk HPS ones.

Anyway. The only time they squeeze is when I pull into a parking spot, you slow turn into it and hit the brakes and they squeel. They never squeel from a straight line stop say to a stop light.

I uses high temp greese and covered all the metal touch points like the how section said.

Any idea???

thanks in advance.

Get used to it. My HPS pads squealed for about six months after I put them on. Then they quit doing it and they've been perfectly quiet since then.

Just installed Hawk HPS and they squeel at low speeds and light brake pedal. Wonder if its worth putting that anti squeel paste on the back of the pads. On the plus side the steering wheel shake at 70mph is gone with the new pads and no rotor turning. Just burnished them in per the instructions and that seems to have "cleaned" the rotors.

Copper anti-seize on the back of the pad works really well. No noise at all running my shimless RacingBrake ET500's.

I have Project Mu pads and had no squeel until about 5000 miles ago... I ignored it until today, and took the brake pads out and recaoted them with antisieze and the still squeel at low speeds... I can live with it though...

How many miles do you have on ET500 and have you tried running it without grease? I have 140 miles on shimless ET700 without grease and haven't heard any noise yet.
