Something up with my brakes?

I'll admit it i'm a bit of a car noob. Bear with me I am learning. I noticed the other day when I was on the freeway when i break I get a lot of vibration on the steering wheel like I was driving on a bumpy *** road. Is this normal do I have a break issue?

How many miles on your car? My first thought, honestly, would be to take it to the stealership...several members have had problems with warped rotors, and that could be a possibility...don't take no for an answer from the dealership; I"m sure they'll first try to dismiss it as a 'non-problem'; be assertive...Good luck, keep us updated!

Many people have had pad material transfer from baking the pad onto the rotors. Scrubbing the rotors or replacing them fixes the symptom but doesn't cure the car. The rotors are capable of absorbing a lot of heat. If you brake more than moderately you can get a lot of energy in them. If you brake moderately and then stop the car you will end up with a lot of heat literally baking the pad onto the rotor. careful use of brakes and giving ample cool down to the calipers/rotors/pads before parking will prevent this heat from baking material onto your rotor and causing vibrations.

Sounds like a warped rotor to me.

Before you take it in with warped rototrs, try doing 4 or 5 fast stops from about 65 mph (in a safe area, of course). Not hard enough to trip the ABS, but hard braking.

When my Evo was pretty new I also started to get a mild shake when braking, and used this technique to clear the rotors of build-up.

Your problem may be different, but for me it was an issue with material transfer. Another thing that can lead to transfer is setting the e-brake while your brakes are still hot.

Probably build up as mentioned above. Mine did the same thing when new. It eventually wore off.
