If you're really focused on the 3000-4000 range you might want to take a look at CBRD's BBX Lite:

Looks promising, but honestly I had a BBK Full on my evo8 that didn't make 25psi until 3800rpm, and the car was plenty fast from 3000-4000 and then very powerful from there on out!

I think he'd be putting his number goals at great risk with the Lite. On pump cams seem to help quite a bit so when you rule that out then something has to give.

Nice results on ~26-ish psi! There's a lot more to gain with this turbo on the spool-up though. I was able to get it to spool only 200-300 rpm later than stock before I threw a rod through my block (the early spool and subsequent boost spiking probably didn't help that...). I wonder how much torque and peak HP I was making holding 32 psi all the way across with 11.8 AFR + 50/50 meth. Wish I would have hit up the dyno before I ruined this engine. lol
