They are the weakest link in the stock block, and easily replaced.

If your going to open the engine up, might as well go to town on it. Cost more to fix a foot sized hole then to build the engine. Ask murlo, his rod bolts held.

Obviously the quarter mile times are not in the 11s as advertised, because they have changed their talk to time attack. The goal was to have a affordable way to have a 11 second mr and now it has become a all out time attack car, which is not for everybody. This is dissapointing advertising for ssp. This car is not practical for the average owner and it is getting away from what the original post of this car was supposed to be.

Bottom line, one project at a time like ams does. They have time attack cars and drag cars. I would of been fine if they said it is going to be a time attack car from the start. But I have been waiting to see 11 second results and I am now looking at other companies for parts because of this. Exedy has new clutch packs out thst are the same price.

I know they said it, but doesn't mean its true. The rod/rod bolt are both things that should be replaced to me, i don't think it's worth doing the rod bolts personally, but whatev.

No, because nobody else has done it. The last I had heard was that the MR cannot be launched well due to software issues. Until that problem is cracked then there's not much else to do. SSP makes hardware upgrades, they aren't ECU programmers.

Actually I was wrong it was ETS that came accross this failure after 681whp and a nice laggey setup...

^technically you were right, DG said it as well too in conjunction with ETS when they were building that TJ guys car around the same time ETS's let go...but still it's really just ETS saying it, i am not saying it won't for sure help, but if you are making enough power to think about doing rod bolts, mind as well do rods too imo because both are near their failure limits.

Enough of this talk in Jeremy's thread, lol, we've done enough
