Sit tight guys. I may have pass along some bad information. I was 100% sure of myself when I posted this, but these "new" shortblocks might have been NA 4b11's and not 4b11T's.

^ What company uses an N/A 4B11T? Dodge used their version on the SRT Caliber that was turbocharged. Both Hyundai and Kia use theirs as turbocharged versions. I thought only Mitsubishi, Hyundai and Chrysler were involved in the joint venture. I can't think of any model that uses an N/A version.

Base lancer, non ralliart, non turbo.

I have a fully bolt on car, the 6262 dyno sheet in here actually, that only made 346 and that was at 27psi where it would normally have been high 350s.

Aaron
Uncorrected was 342 whp and 350 wtq. Temp was around 87 or so raining outside with around 80% humidity. Talking to Chris the tuner he didn't think mine was down on power and seemed to like timing as well. He also said if anything my car was stronger than other year x's. Maybe he can chime in and be of more help.

Well, after the worst attempt at leaving the office at 3:30 pm known to man, I got my 2012 down to Aaron to work his magic and help figure out these power issues.

Tried to leave at 3:30, left at 6:30, caught in traffic, didn't get the car loaded until almost 9 and dropped it off at midnight and got back into Seattle about 3 am. Yay.

PS, I was as quiet as I could, I don't think I woke Lucas up.

Not picking on you brother as your not the only person on this site that does it, but I'm trying to learn as much about this car so I can buy one.

Oh, they just got it last night, I highly doubt Aaron has solved the worlds problems before lunch.

I think the plan is basically to start systematically checking parts, starting with the cams. They have my credit card and my permission to start replacing **** until it goes away basically. I can live without the Evo for a while and one way or another the car will get faster, even if that means dropping it off a cliff out of frustration, it will go faster.

pretty certain he means the info he previously said may not apply to the 4b11t.

I checked my 12 GSR lastnight. It has a metal casted CMC. Build date was 5/15/12.

wow I just looked at my 2012 evo x and it has the plastic CMC. My car was built in NOV. 2011. I wonder if I can get my dealer to get me the new one since my car is a 2012.
