I refer back to something that happened early on in the 4G63s.
Cams all have the same part number but 2004s were down in power compared to 2003s (on stock cams), the 2005s have been shown to have cams indexed wrong and require 7* more timing to make the same power. This goes away as soon as the cams are swapped. I have done 6 2012s since this thread was first posted and 5 of the 6 are down 15-30whp with no changes in the tune or parts being used. Corrected to corrected, uncorrected to uncorrected, 5 of them made less.
The exact reason will probably be eventually figured out but for the time being I wouldnt worry about it. More boost, meth injection, different cams, all the same stuff we all normally do and go. The gap definitely shrinks the more mods that get done, that is a definite.

Just wanted to share this, I had a 08 xmr. TBE and intake. car made 307 (wheel)on mustang dyno.
3 years later, bought a 11 xmr, installed same TBE and intake, added 4' FMIC and piping. 293 (wheel) on dyno jet. Was around the same time of year.
Same tuner. I was crushed. Sounds like a similar problem.

well i'll be getting tuned next friday, my tuner said he's had one other 2012 and it put down 270 bone stock gsr, with 08-11 GSR's usually putting down 230-250, probably an outlier. either way i'll let you guys know, usual numbers for a stage 2 should be around 340-350 whp and 330-340 wtq on this particular dynojet. so we'll see, i'm really hoping to be 350/350 but it's gonna be around 95 degrees on the day i'm getting tuned.

Will do. And I'll post the charts as well. Are all the 12's you've tuned that are down on power also all MR's?
just thought i'd post up some dyno #'s on my 2012. weather wasn't too hot but it was drizzling a bit and had about 85% humidity, temps were mid 80's. Power wasn't down compared to other years according to Chris the tuner, in fact if anything seemed a bit stronger.
Numbers shown are corrected. uncorrected numbers were 342 whp/ 350wtq. car is night and day.
Mod List:
Pierburg 3 port
ETS Intake
ETS 4" FMIC
ETS UICP
ETS LICP
ETS HFC
ETS V2 Quiet Catback
AMS Downpipe
Synapse DV with Mil.Spec spring
