The Evox-R projectors are the same. Doesn't matter which side goes where since they are identical.

The left and right adjusters arent my problem its the up amd down adjuster thats a *****. After dis and re assembling , the up and down screw is screwed into a flimsy soft plastic clip that doesn't like to be touched and kinda shredds apart.

yea those plastic nuts are **** and you can't buy those from depo either. you just have to be very careful and use them sparingly. now that i know exactly how these headlights work, im sure i can dissembled and reassemble much more gently in a single attempt.

one of my up/down adjuster (left hand threaded) was toast, the rest were pretty crappy but worked. rather than spend $200 for another set, i just rethreaded the plastic nuts by running the screw through along with an application of jb weld. wiped the threads of the screw down immediately but let it cure on the plastic. it worked well enough for me to reassemble and align and that's all i needed.

If your fitment is bad, reattach your bumper and make sure the post goes through the clip under the headlight. Mine are perfectly symmetrical.

i actually remeasure the length and height of the headlights. the depo are about an inch shorter on both length and height compare to the OEM housing. so no matter how I place or push the bumper in there will always be gaps.

Hey guys, i'm located in Canada. Unfortunately, the Amazon link to buy the lights, it doesn't ship to Canada.

I've searched on eBay and landed on this:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/DEPO-08-12-M...-/351064923996

however if you scroll down a bit, right before the enlarged pictures, it says (DOES NOT FIT EVO)

are the lancer and evo headlights not the same?

and if possible, can someone post a link that's Canadian friendly?

Thanks!

Ah, I can guarantee any headlight that fits the lancer will fit the evo x. These ebay sellers have no idea what they are talking about. For some reason, they think they are different but all that can vary is the drl wiring harness. The physical light is all the same.

So i think I may install the depot headlights with the evo xr projectors but i have a question for those of you that have done this: What Parts do i need to get to do the retrofit and wire it up into a non SSS?

-The depot HLs
-evo xr's
-D2S HID kit.
what else is needed?

I've taken apart headlights before so replacing the projectors shouldn't be an issue but how does the high-beam solenoid wire up to the stock wiring? My car came with halogens. Do you just plug the solenoid into the high-beam light socket?

I greatly appreciate the help, thanks guys!

I recomend you get the Morimoto 3five d2s ballast and morimoto bulbs. Going super cheap on the actual light components will not do your retrofit any justice (trust me - I started with a $50 amazon kit at first)

The high beam solenoid on the x-r's plugs into high beam connector of the headlight. Plug and play. One thing to note is that the depo projector uses 4 bolts to mount it to the headlight housing. When you get your evox-r's, you will have to remove and reuse 2 bolts that hold the projector together for mounting to the housing. It will make sense when it is in front of you.

I used the Morimoto 3Five ballast with AMP connectors and an AMP to D2S adapter. (If you get the ballast with the D2S plug already attached, you will have to modify the headlight case to get it to fit)
I de-pinned the AMP connector and made it fit through the stock holes for the original low beam harness grommet.

For high beams I soldered the EvoX-r bi-xenon to the DEPO high beam plug that way I could keep quads.
The high beam splitter adapters that I got from TRS fit awkwardly inside so I chose not to use them.

I ran the 9006 HD relay harness where all the stock fog light wiring runs behind the bumper and used stock grounding points.
I mounted the ballast underneath the headlights in the stock location and secured it with the bracket it came with as well as steel plumbers tape/strap.

My set up looks pretty much stock and you can't tell that its aftermarket unless you knew what to look for.

Just to clarify .
I have a 2014 GSR BASE w/o SSS
The best option is to get
1. Depo Headlight
2. EvoX-R Projector
Anything else ? I'm new to evos so I would love the help to understand .
Do we have DRL? So do we need the JRox harness ?
