So in totally lost. I connected the camera through the reverse lights for power. I checked all my connections and they seem fine. I pushed in the connectors as far as I could into the plug. When I put car in reverse the screen just turns blank. Any ideas?
Does the 2014 Evo touchscreen radio support back up camera?

Are you sure you're getting power to the camera? If so, either you're not getting a good connection on the rca connections you spliced or you have them backwards.
Just a heads up.... I wired up my EchoMaster VM-150 reverse camera to the 12volt ACC + and ground behind the stereo, as recommended in this thread.
I was always wary about hooking it up to ACC power because that would mean the camera would always be on with ignition power.
Last week I smelt something burning and later that day I noticed my rear view camera was just showing a black screen.
I found that the embedded voltage regulator (12vdc to 3.3v) inside the wiring/harness insulation had fried. It's a bad design, they used about 20 ft of 20-22 gauge wiring for power, ground as well as the RCA video cable.
The thin gauge wire also melted and caused shorts, so I cut the original cable as far back as I saw necessary and replaced all of the wiring from the camera to the head unit.
Then I connected a new CPT voltage regulator with heatsink to the reverse lights in the trunk, so now the camera will only get power in reverse.
Everything works great again. Here are some pics....

Figured it out 👍. Wasn't getting good connection for power to the camera
Works great now.

Ok guys, ive read all the post and im still lost. Ive put the touch screen stereo in my 2015 triton and it works a treat but my car does not have the wiring or plug (c-107) for the reversing camera. Ive got a camera off ebay and run the camera + and the camera - directly to pins 7 and 3. The power wires for the camera im going to connect to the reversing wire towards the rear of the car. Am i correct in assuming that once i run wire from the reversing wire directly to the reverse pin on the stereo and run a ground wire to the ground wire pin on the stereo pin it should work?
cheers

ps i cant seem to find the reversing plug c-107 anywhere.

Its alive lol. Got the reverse camera working. Because i dont have the plug i temporary connected the wires directly to the posts. In the end it only need 3 wire connected up to get it working, video + and video - and a positive feed wire from the reverse lights.
Hey Guys! Sorry for reviving an old thread. I just do not want to open another thread and I'm hoping from you guys to give me an advise. I just bought a used 2014 Lancer ES my first project is to install a reverse camera to this car. I bought a used touchscreen from Ebay for $150 and according to the seller, it was from an Outlander Sport. It is now installed and works perfect. Then two weeks ago, I purchased a used OEM camera from a 2014 Ralliart with no navigation for a very good price then I ordered the wire harness from the dealer (MZ36033EX). Unfortunately, the plugs didn't fit at all. Then I went to different Mitsubishi dealers to order the exact wire harness for it but they could't find it. We used the Ralliart VIN given to me by the seller of the used camera but no luck. Now I am stuck and I don't know what to do. Please advise.
how are people wiring the cam to the reverse light?
the cam i bought requires a 12v, i know the reverse light gives off 12v, is it safe just to hook up the wires to the power to the reverse light?
and again can someone provide pictures of wiring the cam from outside the bumper to inside to the power, all without drilling a huge hole in the bumper
I wired mine into the reverse signal wire that goes in the back of the head unit. The camera I placed above the license plate. You can't even see it unless you're looking for it. Then I took out the license plate lamp and ran the wires up thru that, into the bumper, and thru the grommet where the passenger side tail light goes. I took a dremel and oval shaped one hole on the license plate lamp. That way when I put it back in, I could move it away from the wires so it wouldn't pinch them.
Dam it i really want to avoid having to drill a hole in the car
