Cobb Tuning Access Port Is Now Available For The Evo X!
That's technically true, but not answering his question correctly.
When you install the AccessPort map on the car it "marries" itself to that particular car and stores a copy of the current ECU code. When you uninstall it, it "divorces" itself from the car and puts it back to the code that it stored when you married it to the car. Thus, if you divorce it from the car, take the car to the dealer and they re-flash it, when you then re-install the AP map on the car it will marry itself to the car again, copying the new dealer flash which is currently in the ECU. If you then divorce it from the car at a later date the ECU will be returned to the way that it was the last time that it was married - in this case with the factory re-flash. That's what I understood Withnail75 to be asking.

Just got my Accessport today!
Unfortunately it's cold and snowing out so I don't think I'll be able to load the map until Friday or Saturday
Anyway, make sure to read the map notes for the Stage 1 map. (Stock filter only)

wicked good excuse, i think that you should wait till spring, more power and snow = not good
Silence you fool....
The force is stronger than my spelling...
I see im not the only one
.
Yes i put the stock filter back on already.
I just flash the car, took about 15 minutes to back up the OE map, and about 5 to flash the cobb map, going out for a bit to pick some stuff up. I'll let you guys know how it is once i get back.

They are just working out some boost control issues due to the factory solenoid not working very well at higher boost pressures. As soon as they have the fix for that the map will be available. So it should not be to long now.
The packaging is top notch. Kudos to COBB on that.
Well i can tell you for sure that the car gain HP, how much i dont know. The engines does seen to breath alot easier now, and yes the rev limit is been raised to 7.5 i didn't push any farther since i dont want to hit it.
I guess is not really what i was expecting but it is quicker. Maybe the car is just so smooth that is hard to tell. As of right now i will say the gains are so so, will have to find a stock evo and make a run see what happens, since i wont be hitting a dyno anytime soon.
I am not too down since the device does alot more, and i just got it. So im sure i have more to learn about it and more to gain from it.
Quick question, i was reading the manual and from the wording it looks like the software to street tune is not free??? It says i can upgrade to it? So if i get my AFR meter and decide to adjust the map i would have to buy this software???
