When they release the former street tuner for this it will be called the "race" tuner. I believe it will be 100% free.

That application will enable you to make adjustments and tune it yourself - however - be advised if you are not familar with tuning and do not have the right equipment e.g. wideband etc. then you may be better off to get a pro tuner to set up the maps for you.

It tunes the same as any other tuning tool - like ecutek etc - they all adjust the same stock parameters in the stock ecu

The difference is the customer features are enhanced on the AP- the ability to save and upload maps and all the gauges and other features are only available on the cobb

Al when will you get these in? I will have a test pipe back exhaust, nisei IC piping and a drop in filter, will you be able to set up a tune for me if I order an AP from you?

Are you able to control the boost good enough or should I do a manual boost controller as well?

Any map that is made to work on a 1000s of different cars in different areas will need to be conservative. Cobb does a good job at balancing safety and performance IMO. A custom tune will always net more power then a off the shelf map.

If your custom tune was done by a cobb certified protuner you should be able to have them convert your current map to a cobb .ptm file and then you can load it in your AP.

Oh yeah, the engine does feel alot smoother and more linear now. You have the big spike at about 3k and after that is nice and progressive till red line.

How do the maps work if you already have some aftermarket parts? For example, an Exhaust from a non-COBB brand and an intake?
