when i load up your config file, the abs load on the graphs is shown as a percentage value

sorry on the graphs tab, ok it shows as % but 0-320

but on my dashboard it shows as 0-100% same as on the tables and maps tab

has it opened other tabs along with the config file you sent me so i am getting confused?

do you have a log you can send me so i can play it back and see now

thanks

Please re-read my last post.
The load in your maps are in percentage, so is PCMScan....

The peak loads you'll probably see on a stock Evo will be around 250% or so and it should taper to around 180%

i understand that and as i explained some of the tabs show the value as 0-100% which obviously wouldnt tally up with any maps, but as the % are shown at 0-320% on some of the other tabs then yes i can understand its reference to load on the map.

However i always understood the calculation of load to be more relevant to psia rather than a % of something. For example peak boost 1.6bar or 260kpa ish would be reference to load cell 260 on the map or close to.

i just havent used pcmscan for this before, do you mind sending me a log file?

thanks

THat may be true of the stock turbo but larger turbos skew the load numbers quite a bit. For example I'm at 22-21 PSI on a Red and it is seeing 280 load or so.

interesting i just always thought thats how they developed ecuflash to be relevant to kpa on the stock rom, obviously it goes out of shape when you start changing hardware.

its still not that far out though is it 22psi is 1.55bar or 155kpa ish so load cell 250-260 in absolute, but enough to screw up your map for sure

it doesnt count knock, ive just been out and done some logs with it

does the load flatline at 159.2% ? and i am presuming thats +100 it will then match up closely to map load cells

just thought i remembered hitting higher than 260 load on the dyno as my car peaks at 1.8 bar.

if i look at somewhere i would have peak load for example on the log

4203rpm
159% load
155kpa so obviously somewhere above that
1.54bar
8degrees of ignition

and on the map
4000-4500rpm
260load cell
11-13degrees of ignition

if i was actually running 8degrees i would be in load cell 280, this tells me the relation to load is not correct in the log?

Your logging the wrong load.

Sorry, there are two loads that you can log. One is CalcLoad and one is AbsoluteLoad.

Off the top of my head I think the correct load is AbsoluteLoad.

You'll know which one is correct when you see it not capped.

ok thanks for that, abs load is logged already and capped at 159 so i guess it must be calculated load is the correct one, and probably same for anyone else using this config file will have same prob.

you dont happen to have a log anywhere do you? showing calc load ?

thanks for that

Looks like it is indeed Load_ABS

So something must be wrong with your config

oh right that makes it even more weird, wonder why it is capped then, SIC can you confirm your load logs same as above? and you didnt have the same issues as me?

wonder if it was anything to do with the fact i was using the ELM327 adapter instead of the open port 2.0 cable?

Have you tried not using SIC's config and just checking off the PID's yourself?

You have to configure it for ELM, mine is configured for J2543 (OpenPort 2.0).

Although the PIDs shouldn't matter, you might be looking at some of the tabs I didn't configure. I only configured the last 3 tabs: My Dashboard/Graphs/Tables & Maps
