The PCMScan Thread

Hey guys,

I'm starting this thread so we can consolidate all the discussion regarding logging with PCMScan on the Evo X.

Questions, comments, logs, etc. encouraged!

More to come...

For those of you having problems with the PCMScan configuration, you are all free to use my configuration file located here.
sic.cfg

BTW, all my settings are in metric so you'll have to change those settings if you want PSI. Also my config file is setup for an AEM WB on COM5, change that setting as necessary.

Hrm still having that weird problem with the MAF readings being low resulting in negative boost pressure when calculated using the script. The CURVES look ok...but not the actual measurements. I'd like to get it working for obvious reasons :-P Oh, that's using your config file too SiC, so it must not be that. Anyone also have the same problem and manage to solve it?

Thanks!

You're not talking about idle & cruise boost pressure are you?

Hrm...I dunno what I did but Boost is now showing properly...i.e. PSI etc. Funny though...I'm beginning to wonder if the CDN X MAP sensor is only good to 1.55bar...

No, all the MAPs only show up to 1.55 bar on PCMScan.

Yeah, good to know. Gunzo let me know that too. Limitation of OBD port protocols? Ah well, doesn't matter. I'm going to try building a boost gauge. LOL. :-P

No adjustments needed, it's just a PID for Absolute Load. Check my config file posted above. If you compare your maps to your log, the load numbers should be really close, if not exact.

Your setting must be wrong.......

Open PCMScan, click on the Settings tab and click OBDII Settings. Go down to OBDII Connections Settings and under OBDII Interface > Interface Type select J2534

Load on the maps are percentages (10-320%)..... if yours says kpa then your xml file must be bad.
