fostytou - Can you post your final latency and scale? (For both cars you tuned if possible)
Scaling is 975

Latency:
Code:
6.12
5.28
3.096
2.04
1.512
1.08
1.008
I need to double check my trims now that I've got ~500 miles on these settings. My cable still isn't here yet after ordering it over a month ago .

I'm not going to post the #s for the other car yet, we are adding latency to compensate for the unmetered air since Derek isn't willing to plug up holes yet

Cool thanks man. I figure it will be easier if I have a decent starting point. And it will be a big bonus if the car's trims are in the +/- 5% range to start with.

Now I just need to get my hands on some E-85 scaling.

I got mine today. It seems they are now cutting the long shaft off. They look like this:

FIC is using a spacer under the injector. The silver cylinder with the FIC label pulls off.

These are exactly how mine look.

After many miles on these my trims remain the same. The only negative thing I can say is that sometimes, after the car sits 8 hours (at work), when I go to start it there is a very slight (very very slight) stumble upon startup, and I can hear the the exhaust tone is not right. I haven't logged it yet during this time and I'm not sure I can as the WBO2 would not be heated up to even get a reading. This condition lasts aprox 2-5 seconds.

Again, this is very slight, most normal drivers wouldn't even notice but most EVO drivers are not normal drivers

I still might play around with scaling/latency a bit more even though I know the concensus is to leave it alone....

Anyone else see this?

Sometimes if the idle trim is way off, it can affect startup, but those are pretty good trims.

That would make more sense I guess.

There was a post in the other thread about these noting that the change was made because they were *too* short and pulling harnesses down too tight. With the adapters on the X I'd rather have them lower, but I'm not sure how that would work with the O-rings.

The only problem I've had is that I stalled the car about 30 seconds after startup (which is abnormal, I assure you ) and it was VERY difficult to restart.

I have not changed the startup pulse widths yet. It seems we have these maps since they are in tephra's alt-maps, but I haven't found the definitions yet....

I started at:

Idle: +12.5
Cruise: +2

Now, I'm at:
Idle: +10.75
Cruise: -5.

As Fostytou alluded to earlier, my valve cover breather is not plumbed back into the intake... which would explain the horrible idle trims as well as the occasional lean spikes (18 AFR) at idle. Going to plumb that in this weekend and see where it gets me...

Big Thanks to tsitalon1! I used your scaling an latency as a starting point for my car. Last night she started right up after I installed them, as if nothing had changed. I drove it around for a while and I was at
Idle: -7
Cruise: -4

So I bumped up the scaling 1 notch and bumped the latency down 1 notch. So far trims are sticking at 0. But I need to drive it more than the short trip to work before I know for sure.

Glad I can help.

Make sure you re-check in a week or so...

in a week or so I will be on E-85. But I will keep an eye on them till I swap over. This map will be my 91 octane backup map for when I have to swap back.

Checked again....

Idle = -4.4X
Cruise = +2.1X

So trims look good

Question Mr Fred, I have the "disable LTFT affecting WOT" mod in place and set to default value (300 I believe)

Will this affect my trims? I don't believe they will, but wanted to dbl check.
