I can email you mine if you pm me your email

Also, since we're somewhat local to each other, I can let you do some testing on my car if you wanna play around with the 2011 car some

Colby has restricted write access to the first 8k of the ROM.

meaning that if that data has changed then ECUFlash wont allow you to flash the new ROM.

you can get around that by flashing in Bench mode - however I would still advise against changing ROM's that arn't of the same series.

ie 52680015 -> 52680024 (the 2010 version) are fine to flash over each other.

But dont try the MY2010 ROM (i cant remember what ROMID it has)

The only thing that concerned me with switching among CT9A ROMs was hardware differences between vehicles. Its been a while since I looked at my Evo 10 disassem. What's information is in the first 8K of the ROM?

At any rate, I wouldn't be testing the limits on my buddy's Evo, so I'll stick with 52680024 if I'm going to switch to ECUFlash.

its all the flashing part of the code - Colby's logic was that if the user couldn't corrupt this bit then they can't ruin the ECU in terms of being able to make it unflashable...
