minimum e85 setup
minimum e85 setup
hey guys, i am trying to convert my car to e85 car. i had done some search find out that i might need to upgrade my injector to id1300 and walbro 320 or 400 pump. besides these two things, i also see some plp upgraded to a new frp kit, fuel feed line and inline fuel filter and fuel rail. my question is are all of these parts necessary to run e85? if not, what is/are the ones that i should have at least?
my goal is reach 500whp. if you see anything that i left out, feel free to say it
my setup shown below
2.0L sleeved built block
Fully ported head
Kelford 214B cam with Kelford spring
ATP GTX3576R with atp 3" inlet
opensource
3.5" ETS intercooler with UICP and LICP
AMS widemouth
Speedcircuit resonated test pipe
perrin catback
Map 3.5" intake
Turbosmart Bov
GM 3 port
FIC1100CC
DW65C
Dodson super stock clutch kit(Kozmic)
AEM gauges

That should be enough injector. And a walboro 450 e85 pump will do fine. But why such a low power goal on big turbo E85 car? You could go with a smaller less laggy turbo and make the same power.
I have a similar setup on my personal evo with the main difference being I have a 2.2 big bore motor. With the same pump as you and FIC 1300s, I had enough fuel on pump for 500 wheel hp but it wouldn't get there on E85. I think you will have injector but the Walbro 400 would be a good choice. Figure you want roughly 30% more fuel system capacity for E85 vs pump gas. As for power goals, I'm in the same boat. My motor is build for 900 but I don't want to push the trans past 600.
