Buschur Racing's Evo X has arrived!
No news from AEM on support for the EVO X. I don't expect there to be any real soon, that would be best for me though.
Somethings to keep in mind here folks. The size of the intercooler does matter. This is not me trying to target anyone else in particular who is making FMIC's for the EVO X. This is just simple freaking fact.
We too offer a 3.5" thick core for the EVO 8-9's. This is our Deluxe (and formerly standard FMIC core). It is rated at 750 whp. If you go to our website, www.buschurracing.com, and go into the forums there is a thread in the EVO section with varies FMIC and Turbo information in it. The thread shows different engines/turbo/FMIC's and the intake air temps of each combination.
If you take the time to go view that thread you will see that not only our competitors 3.5" cores pick up quite a bit of intake air temps but ours do too. Me pointing this out is in no way to harm anyone else's product as ours does the same thing.
My point is anyone trying to tell you that building a FMIC to support 1,000 hp is stupid if you are only planning on making 400 is a fool.
The cooler you can keep the intake charge the more power you are going to make, the less detonation you are going to have, the more reliable the car is going to be.
That is why we wanted to make ONE GREAT design for the EVO X and that's it. Had I know how great our Race FMIC core was when we built the first FMIC for the EVO8-9's, I would have never built the other 2 designs.
BTW, we have kept our pricing on this new Race FMIC at the same price we had on the initial 3.5" core we built. It is only $759.
We will also offer them on sale right now with our EVO 8-9 Race FMIC's for only $699, SHIPPED.

DB, the new core looks awesome. PLEASE include t-bolt clamps on your IC/piping kits for the X. My 2G kit that I got from you had t-bolts and they were awesome. 2 years ago I bought the evo deluxe kit from you and it came with worm clamps. I called and complained, but Jarrod said they would hold as good and be easier to use than the t-bolt clamps. I fully agree with that and it was true. BUT now it is 2 years later, I've taken my UICP off a few times and the worm-gear hose clamps are JUNK. Just trashed. PLEASE bring back t-bolt clams as standard!

I'm one of those weirdos that prefer worm clamps until I have a pipe that simply won't stay together with them due to obscene pressures. They're just so much easier to deal with when you're at the track and need to pull something out of the way etc...
