Evo X clutches and Tranny rebuilt
OP, the twin that exedy makes is typically around $1500 just for the clutch and flywheel, no install... they are expensive.
I am handing my car over to a shop out here so they can test fit the RPS carbon single disk, that should be a bad *** setup when its done, although they typically retail for around $2k

Well my ACT pressure plate and baring took a crap on my car. So I was doing some search on here about some other clutches and was wondering if more people have updates on other clutch besides the ACT on the Evo X. I was thinking twin disc this time and need to hold over 500 awhp on a MD.
Also I was thinking of having my tranny rebuilt since i have to pull the d@mn thing out anyways. Does any one know of shops rebuilding the Evo X tranny already.
Any reviews would be nice. And i had my eye on the exedy twin disc. Just a lil upset that the ACT pressure plate took a **** on me. I can still drive the car its just when i take of normal the whole dang drivetrain vibrates.

As far as transmission rebuilds go I would contact Shepherd racing. Last time we spoke he had a few there and I would think hes got some tricks up his sleeve by now. www.sheptrans.com
My evo x just hit 14 k miles and on the way to work i was cruzing about 65mph and the clutch started to slip i called the dealer and talked to the service guy and he said its the clutch and its not under warranty he also said that its about $2500 to replace everything . so i called a friend that works in a trany shop and he said to just replace it with a clutch masters clutch for around $700 plus throw out bearing , pressure plate and flywheel he said he will charge $400 to install and he said that i could install it in about 1 day if i do myself . so what do you think i should do ?
