This is an old thread. You should research the FP Green now as well.

T3 GT30/35R > Bolt on turbos

A T3 based turbo will make crazy power at lower psi (pump gas friendly psi). Why would anyone build their car around a small turbo? You would then need to run alot more boost and start requiring higher octane, race gas, meth, etc. Just to run a runt turbo..

Better spool and $1200 for an FP versus $5k for an ETS kit would both seem like good reasons.

We are running the Dom2 and I must say that surging is very irritable, and is most probably due to bigger blades yet same housing. That is the problem with bolt on turbo upgrades...

We'll be looking into solutions this summer.

there is more to it than simply the size of the wheel, the aerodynamics also play a big roll!!

If you want stock spool, keep the stock turbo (its free). If you want big power, you gotta go with a big turbo.

CBRD and how would you compare your BB-X to Red and Dom 2.0 in terms of available power, spool, etc?

His answer would be more power and he's achieved the same spool as a DOM on his dyno. Might just want to shoot him an email or PM if the info in the BBX threads doesn't answer your questions.

I'll be finding out very soon how the spool compares to a Red on E85. My car is finally running.

I don't think CBRD has really tested a Red, at least when i asked they hadn't.

And you are correct sir.
