Hey guys, just wondering if the moaning sound that comes from the engine bay when i start of in first gear sometimes, is normal. The guys at the shop said that it was normal and that it was just the clutch engaging...but i know that you guys will know if thats correct or not. It sounds like a moaning or a creak when the clutch is just about to be engaged and i just wanted to make sure everything is "normal"

 

Stock clutch? My twin does it occasionally when I've done a lot of in traffic driving, launch or some hard driving shuts it up again though

 

Moaning?? It's haunted. Sell it now. Get out while you still can.

Seriously though, is it a stock clutch/tranny setup? Knowing that would help a lot.

 

Well I'm not sure yet. The guys at the dealer didn't even know it had the intakke, piping and exhaust. I've got it scheduled for a lift in about a week so I can get the full look at it then. But yeah it could very well be the clutch, I just thought that it was sto@k, but maybe not. So if it is a new clutch, that's what the noise is? Nothin bad?

 

could very well be suspension if its been worked on as you suggest. listen for it when they put it on the lift.
