2010 EVO X GSR AYC ACD Pump Fail 5/21/14
year: 2010
first sold: 5/2013 (bought used)
pump started to fail: 35,000 miles (4/2014)
pump failed: 37,500 (Tarmac light is blinking constantly - not dead yet but needs relpaced)
cold-start reflashed: 5/2014 - dealership tried to reflash but failed to reset the unit.
Welcome to the club right? Dealership quoted me the price of the unit was $1223 and installation total would be $1600.
Diagnostics on the unit costed $39.99.
This was not covered under warranty. Thinking about buying the refurb unit from http://www.acd-pump.com/
Ordered the part from the dealership so will decide what to do 2 weeks from now.

Year: 2011 (GSR)
First sold: 8/2011
Location: purchased in OH, now in MN
Pump started to fail: 16,300 miles (5/28/2014, when purchased used) - mode indicator intermittently flashing
Cold-start reflashed: no
Resolution: Pump was replaced at dealership under 3yr/36k warranty, and was advised it was not covered under the drivetrain warranty.
Side note: The service manager showed me the old pump (did not let me take it); it looked, seriously, like the nasty pictures you can find online with massive corrosion all over the thing.
Handy reposted info:
Part number for the AYC/ACD pump: 3520A045
Currently $1177.13 on mitsubishiparts.net (vendor here)

Update 8/2014
Just an update, called mitsubishi, they said it's not covered under warranty... I asked to file a "claim". A man called me back about my case and said mitsubishi would pay the dealer the part and I would just have to cover the labor. Couldn't be happier only ended up paying $400. Please file a complaint at mitsubishi motors. They will let your dealership know not to charge you for the part.
year: 2008
first sold: 09/2009
pump started to fail: 45,000 miles (09/2012)
pump rebuilt: 46,000 miles (03/2013)
pump failed: 58,000 miles (09/2013)
pump replaced: 60,000 miles (04/2014)
cold-start reflashed: never
I ordered the rebuild kit from the Canada company and had Tony Mangino Mitsubishi rebuild a pump core they had with the kit and they thoroughly cleaned all the barnacles and such and installed and bled it. By the end of summer, the lights were coming on again. I parked for the winter, then had it diagnosed in spring and sure enough, pump was bad. Paid $$$ to replace it.
