FIC 2150 too much for 93? (6266)

The only place for me to get E85 is a performance shop about 20 mins away. After that my closest one is about 2 hrs. Im looking for an injector that will work with 93 and E85 and can push enough fuel for a 6266.

2150's are good for 1500 whp on 93 octane. Do i think its overkill? No, because once you buy them you never have to replace them. Dont be like me and buy and sell 3 different sets of injectors. Either way you cant install any injector without properly scaled by a tuner. Might as well buy once and they will meet any future goals. Just my 02.

what I mean is that I thought I it's harder to get the big injectors to idle properly on 93.

Not 2150's they are high z, now if you get some low impedance injectors like FIC 1450's or 1650's then yes you will have issues. But the 2150's shouldnt be an issue at all.

That of course depends on how good your tuner is Find a tuner who knows what they're doing and you'll be fine.

A good tuner certainly helps but even the best tuner can't change the fact that our IPW only goes so low and only stays so stable.

On the evo 8/9 you have access to more tables for idle etc. On the X, i would not do 2150's on 93.

I have arguably one of the best tuners for the X and on e85 I still wasn't super happy with the driveability of the fic2150's. I think I had a set that wasn't balanced too well though and personally would recommend the ID2000's over the FIC2150's.

Wait for the 1600's as I said on the other forum...you won't regret it.

I think you've gotten some good feedback here about the 2150s on pump gas. They can be more work to dial in but the feedback we hear is usually very positive. It does depend on your tuner and the ability of your ECU to control those short pulse widths, but with the newer technology high impedance injectors we use they do a very nice job all around.
We also offer Data Match Technology now which helps the injectors run even better in that tough short pulse width area by ensuring the injectors are matched by both slope flow rate as well as individual latency value which is really nice. We give all of this specific matching info to you as well so you can see the results and also use them to input in to your ECU for the most precise calibration possible. You can read more about that and see a video on it here:
