Warning light help please :( (Timing chain?)

Hey guys, I have a stock 08' MR with 67K miles, and a few days ago when I got home from work it gave me the low tire pressure warning, the next day when I started her up it started throwing the red /!\ warning.

I looked in the manual and found this to be the timing chain light, but on google I saw it could be related to the TPMS also?

So I left her in the garage until I could get it looked at, But now this morning the tire pressure warning went away and I'm still stuck with the /!\

So I guess my question is, is the red /!\ always timing chain related? or could it still be the TPMS? It seems like its idling fine, if it was timing chain would I notice anything?

Warning light help please :( (Timing chain?)-oygk7rl.jpg

That's timing chain related. I'd get the tension checked by a local dealer asap. . It might be covered if you aren't modded since these went out prematurely.

damn ok

I thought coverage ended at 60k miles, if that's true I'm screwed since I'm at 67k

You're passed 5 years any way. But try as I believe there could be a tsb on it. But their excuse is it may be from abuse. Gl

talked to the dealer and unfortunately there is no recall on the part or anything, they quoted $1100 for the fix (ouch). I'm taking it by monday for the new recall and they are going to check it for me.

I just hope there is no other damage like I've seen on some threads with people saying it destroyed other stuff.

Been sitting in the $tealership ever since I took it there, didnt want to risk driving it back and forth and causing more damage.

They told me they cant get to it until mid-late next week (I guess this week now) because they were all booked up with that new recall.

I really hate it not being in a garage and sitting in their lot

just an update

Finnaly got my car back after 2 weeks at the dealer.

Luckily nothing else was damaged, only the tensioner and chain needed replacing.

$1200 later... but very happy to have my car back

I have that same light on so I guess I will have to check on it as I thought it was related to tire sensors as well because that light was on too. Is it really that hard to change I wonder? New to these cars but have done in others hmm
