If that's pulling vacuum and is connected to the intake, is it robbing the engine of intake air? Also, and probably unrelated, my Innovate ethdnol content gauge has begun to cycle through random numbers, not sure what that's about
do you have pictures of your final outcome?

Really glad I found this thread. I've spent the last week redoing my oil return and chasing my tail. Will try this tomorrow.

fyi, putting a sealed catch can in and attached to intake via -10AN didn’t stop my 5858 from smoking at idle.

Then I put a .035 oil restrictor in the feed line and 98% of the smoking went away

Yes I installed this prior to finding this thread, and Razor I am running a .65 restrictor. So what I have done so far is run a -10 line from the intake manifold and routed it to a -10 fitting on the valve cover where the breather tube goes (one closer to the transmission). I also installed a pcv valve in between the lines, now the pcv valve i found was the same size of the lines but it did seem a little restrictive. I then removed the filter off of the kozmic catch can and capped it off, and now have 1 line from the catch can going to the front -10an fitting (pcv side) and the other going to a -10 fitting on the intake pipe. While I know this is not ideal for the kozmic catch can, i figured its better than not using it at all.

Took the car for a spin and hardly noticed any smoke at all. I let it idle in my driveway for 15 minutes after doing a few hard pulls and had an occasional puff here and there but it did not have a strong oil smell like it did before. I think I am going to keep the kozmic catch can as is unless someone advises otherwise and going to order a Radium kit for the other side. Will report back later this week with an update.

Mine still smoked with a 0.065. Putting a .035 in reduced it by 95%

Sounds like a good setup on the crack case vent setup. Going to an .035 restrictor will likely clear up any residual smoking.

I ended up installing the Radium catch can with the stock pcv setup and recirculated the kozmic to the intake and issues are now resolved.

Finally got my car back together with the new engine/trans setup. Here is the final catch setup I went with.

Its a vibrant -10AN check valve screwed into the can on the passenger side with a -8AN reducer to the intake manifold.

Then just a -10AN fitting welded to the valve cover and -10 in and out of the radium cans.

Final product is completely smokeless without a restrictor.

I had issues with the turbo smoking before on a VTA catch can and I had issues with it smoking on the stock crank case setup. I think the stock crank case setup had issues because of the size of the stock PCV fitting. Its less than a 1/4" hole in the factory PCV fitting which is way to small.

BB or Journal?

Pretty much the setup I have and mine still smokes, even with a restrictor, it got better but still smokes. I just learned to deal with it until I get a different turbo.

Ball Bearing.

You are using the welded fitting at the valve cover and -10 lines all throughout?

I think that is key.

The only other thing I have that might be different is a HUGE drain.

I have a drain like this

Its 7/8" ID right off the turbo and goes down all the way to the block where it necks down to 5/8 (-10AN)
