Clutch issue?

Little over a week ago was driving, went to shift and clutch pedal went all the way to the floor and was unable to shift into any gears under power. Turned the engine off and was able to put back in 1st. Wasn't in a good spot and didn't have time to wait for a wrecker. Saying that I most likely made the situation worse. Pushing the clutch pedal as hard as I could was able to get restarted and after a jerky start was able to get it into 2nd, so drove quite a ways in 2nd gear keeping my speed down. Once I got it home the pedal had a lot of pressure. I can accept I made it worse, just need some ideas where to start to try to diagnose the problem.

It's one of your clutch hydraulic cylinders. Check the master on the firewall next to the brake booster. If it's dry, pop your intake off and check the slave. If it failed, it'll have fluid all over it. I doubt you made anything worse. There's a known issue with the master clutch cylinder failing on the X.

What do you mean by "the clutch pedal had a lot of pressure"?

Had a problem similar to that and it was my tob. Same thing kinda happened was under throttle went to shift and right to the floor and it was stuck. What happened was my tob came out in 3 pieces so worse case I would check that and do not drive the car.

Meaning pedal will not go down at all. Maybe you got lucky as I did not.

If the slave cylinder is where you remove the pill from it appears completely dry

Finally did the CMC upgrade from MAPerformance, bled all the brakes and the new slave cylinder. Still need to adjust the clutch pedal, but won't shift into any gears. so does that mean I'm either looking at a clutch or transmission issue now?
