Best Motoring X vs IX Battle
Ok, i hear what you are saying about the, "don't count the chickens before they hatch" mentality, but c'mon man...the X got owned! It was getting passed by lap two! I know these are JDM cars, but the USDM straight line acceleration is going to be marginally slower in the IX and significantly slower in the X (more airbags/other various safety heft). The only thing that is going to make the difference is the AYC in the X...but I doubt it will make up for the acceleration discrepency. It doesnt get much clearer than a video like this.
please don't mistake me for trying to read into it. there are a lot of reasons that make me think the 9 flat out beat the X, but the other circumstances can't just be ignored. that and i don't take japanese automotive video journalism seriously, though that is a personal opinion a little removed from the topic at hand.
Geez.
Here we go again.
In response to the recent news,
I am bit disappointed with that Xs, IX, STI, TypeS(?) video. Aside from that lame *** Type S, the X gen. got owned. The IX had the 5spdmtX in his way when the race started and had to move to the side of the 5spdmtX and flew past that s***. I was NOT surprised to see that. VERDICT: OWNED vs 5spdGSR & X-SST.
The STI being quicker then the X is not surprising either, knowing what direction they went, which was the same as usual. But in their current status as a company is far more better then Mitsu. Mitsu went a different direction with this car which is to say the least, unexpected results if not pitiful against the STI. (WTF is that all about?)
VERDICT: OWNED vs GSR & SST
The Skyline? WTF happened with that b***h? That guy just faded away or something.
What I am seeing is that IX and STI are the only competitors for each other. And I ,too saw that guy with the SST screwing up his shifting in the end. What in hell is that? This guy is a professional and he done "f'd" that up.
Lets just say that the EVO fans' fears have become a reality.
But....you were warned. The people were told that the car was going more luxurious and if rumors hold true, so is the Subaru side as well.
What I am failing to understand, is HOW IN HELL is Mitsu going to WRC with this car? I know that they are not fulling registered and not 'official' but why would Mitsu even consider throwing this particular generation considering the numbers?

Rumors are not talking about this generation, but the next one.
From another source( can't remember where I read it) SUBARU wants nothing to do with Mitsubishi from here on.
They don't want their name to be thought of when someone mentions, Evolution. Like one guy had said, they are forever linked.
Simply with all the racing out there, illegal, mostly and cars getting confiscated, impounded due to illegal racing. It becomes over a period of time - tainted.
They are moving their Subaru classes to the next level up to compete with the likes of more exotic cars. e.g. Porsche, Ferrari etc. You get the idea.
So don't be surprised to hear other companies go the same route.
The Nissan GT-R is an example. From it's root and to it's current status, it is food for thought.

It doesn't do mid 12's, and he's right the X is faster 'round the track. Here.
notice the ix started at the back of the pack....then caught up to the tails of the front starters...the x-sst and the nissan....if the front straight was longer the ix would have passed all of them....only took awhile to pass cuz there wasn't a lot of room on the track to pass....if the ix started in front it really would have been ugly

Faster than the IS-F!? That is sort-of-hard to believe. Do you know of any official times or have a link so I can see myself? Not calling you a lier - just hard to believe that a 414 hp car that runs mid 12's would be slower at the track.
