^repost, but why are you posting crap about a jdm spec evo x?

have you not seen the reviews by Real owners on this site and Car mags that reviewed the USDM Evo Xs? Everyone and every god damn mag has been giving nothing but positive reviews on the Evo X.

really no point in bumping this thread.

hate to break it to you, but a lot of people are hopping on the Evo X bandwagon after what the tuners have been able to do.

Also, the NEw Subie was being driven waay more agressively than the X. The Evo drivers where driving in a more CAR REVIEW type of driving, so was the old Sti....I only see BMI cuz of the cars but NEVER believe the actual times cuz they tend to get a little biased at times, especially when it comes to supercars

his video is a measure of the driver, not the car. All these cars could win on any given day in a track event. 3 lap averages would be more valuable, and so far, those wins have been different then this video implies.

hahah so defensive.. I was not bumping it, the last poster said the link was dead so I put a new one. Just keeping the post content updated. Regardless of how you feel about the X it’s a fun race to watch none the less.

Even then, I'd question the results. It's still driver, and some drivers have a style that will benefit from one car more than another.

What I think would be a fun test: pick ten people, none can have any prior on-track experience, no autox, nothing. Just regular people. Take them out to a track, and have each one of them run a couple sessions in each car. Then look at the results and see which car is easier to drive. Because honestly, when it comes to experienced drivers, the deciding factor is rarely going to be the car.

Not really,

Following are somewhat equivalents:

GDB Rev F - IX
GDB Rev G - IX MR
Standard - GSR
Spec C - RS

So GDB Rev G Spec-C vs IX MR RS would be a fair comparison.

Both Spec C and RS are stripped down version that weigh about 2800lbs.

There are no equivalent for S201-S204 and Type RA/Type RA-R of Subaru for EVO.

S201 - S204 are just standard version with almost all available STi parts, think of it as GSR with all Ralliart performance parts (ECU, suspension, etc etc)

Type RA / Type RA-R are basically the same as above but applied to Spec C cars.

They have increase of about 40hp, have 6pot front brakes, heavily tested coilovers mainly for track use, so it won't really be a fair comparison. Also only about 600 S204's are produced, and 300 for Spec C Type RA-R. The last limited edition EVO was VI TME.

before i bought my X i had seen this video and i still bought it. i personally do not let videos influence my decision plus i am not a perfesional race car driver. if you are letting race vids make your decision than you are not meant for this car.

That was a surprising video, but we all know the Evo X will outhandle all of them cars. But not by much. They already proved it in various time attacks.
