The X has the same potential for power and is more pracitcal as a DD.

In my opinion the X has more going for it than the corvette (based on what I want in a car). It costs way less, matches a lambo on the skid pad, weatherproof unless you drive like an idiot, has more space, and also happens to beat on most cars on the street in stock form.

The z06 is no good in weather conditions, costs way more, but from what i've heard is a blast to drive when it's nice out and you actually have a nearby road to enjoy all that power.

You could enjoy the evo's mechanical strong points all the time no matter the conditions. The zo6 can't do that. If I could drop 61k I would grab a X DD and maybe a VIII or IX rs to use as a track car.

If not, then go for Z06.
The GT-R is just as fast in a straight line as a Z06.

Well, to be honest, the Evo X will, too, assuming it has tires similar to the Yokohama Advans my Evo IX has. I won't drive the car if the temp's under 40 degrees even with bone dry roads; the sticky, high performance rubber turns kinda hard at those temps.

Of course you can outfit your X with some nice all-seasons or snow tires, which I'm thinking of doing next year. In the meantime I just drive the wife's R32!

Why are you shopping on eBay for cars? South Coast has GSR's for as low as $31,789.

Question

Guys ..thanks for the advice.......
I just got back from the dealer and signed off on the paper work for a new 2008 z06...:-0 8 miles on it.
Picking it up on monday...
BTW if you live in CT, Crowley Chevy is the place to go for a deal..
They were the first ones to sell the z06 at a employee discount according to GM...
I drove the car today and I m stunned....the car goes sideways at 60mph..and my traction ctrl was ON...This thing is dangerous...
I was really shocked how livable this car is as a daily driver..(going easy)..

Congrats... I would have gone with the Z06 too and if it gets too rough as a dd... I would pick up a late 90's Cavalier with a "My Other Car is a Z06" bumper sticker.

What color did you get?
