Guys,

Come on, If you have been on this forum long enough to know that Florida is one of the last states to get their Evo's. I had to fly to LA, and drive my Evo X back 3000 miles cross country to get mine. It was the best decision ever paying $100 over invoice, versus what these guys in town are trying. So expecting to be able to test drive from a florida dealer with them just getting the car. I have had my Evo X in South Florida since January 28, 2008. After the 4 day trip.

If anyone is from south florida and wants to see the car or get any info about them let me know PM me. Just dont pay over sticker for one of these when there are dealers around the country not asking this. You dont have to drive it home like I did, use the huge savings and just have it transported.

Now if all you want is a test drive, if you live in florida its going to be some time before all these dealers just allow Evo X test drives without weeding out the people who really cant get into a 30+k car.

I hate when people make comments like this. There are alot of professional car salesman who are very good at what they do and make alot of money in a honest way.

but you must concede that their whole job is predicated on how much the consumer DOESN'T know!

Yes, this is true. What bothers me is that people have no problem paying a 200% markup on furniture, jewerly and misc items but they cringe at the fact that the car dealer make any money on a deal. I would love to see non-neg set pricing from car manufactures myself.

Not a personal attack? my ***, im far from spoiled, ive been through alot of hard times in my life as short as its been so far(i was the main provider for my family for awhile). No we are not rich, no i am not spoiled, and i work my *** off for everything i have. Now let me state again the only reason i brought up the fact that i own my cars, is for the pure simple fact that some asshat was attacking me with what he called a "joke." I live at home for one reason, because I love my family and have no reason to move out, maybe if you werent shunned as a child and actually grew up with a happy family you'd understand the real values. Or maybe its just an italian thing. I'm going to school locally why would i spend $1500 a month for a 1 bedroom appartment? living at home is the smart thing to do, but you wouldnt know that now would you?

Secondly, i mention the fact that the sales manager was eyeing what we wore because hes a piece of **** and was looking to see what kind of money he could get out of us and was getting even more happy seeing that we had a decent ammount to spend.

Lastly, Yeah, she most likely will pay for it, you know why? because I'm paying for other things right now. Now, dont let that fool you. Sure she is paying for it now, but who is going to pay her back and take over payments once i get rid of the GTS? i believe that would be me. Dont talk about what you dont know.

Again, this post was for a simple reason, to inform people of a few things:

1. Evo X's are in at Bill Siedle but they wont let you test drive them
2. SRT-4 is at Fairbank's Dodge Sawgrass, but they are ****heads
3. Infiniti of Sawgrass has amazing service and the G37 is unbelievably sexy

and to find out a few things:

1. Has anyone Driven the Evo X that could give a good camparison
2. Is the S-AWC worth the extra $5-10k over a G37 (or even more with "premiums"

And madfast, I wasnt talking about the Sentra or SI's, i was talking about...

350z, S2000, G37, STi, 335i, is350, SRT-4 all in the same performance class, but you know what, the prices are insanely different and i could easily jump in one of the more expensive ones no questions asked. I will probably end up getting a G37 if i dont think the MR is worth the extra money, either way im getting one or the other. And you can save this post, and when i get the car i will post pictures and tell you to shove it. I am a real shopper, if i was there to just dick them around i would lie and say i would buy it that day just to say "oh nm" but no, i told them exactly when i was looking to buy it and what other cars i was looking at and what my plans were.. not the best approach for a test drive but it is honesty, but honesty doesnt get you **** nowadays.

It just depends, when I got my evo 8 I drove my accord and they would not let me drive it, the car was out about 2 weeks. I went home and got my NSX and they pushed out of the showroom and tossed me the keys.

The Evo & STi are the fastest of the group. The slower ones are the S200, 350Z, & SRT-4. Get the MR, it has extremely fast shifting & most likely will cost around $37k. The G37 is a damn nice car, but you may end up regretting getting a 2 door. The Evo is over a half second faster in the 0-60. Base G37 doesn't have AWD or other driving controls like the Evo. It's pricing starts at $35k. For an extra $2k, you get an amazing deal on the Evo.

Try building your G37 on infinity's website, it adds up really quick.

when I bought my evo, the dealer wouldn't let me drive it. just took me for a ride. I think its because it's their most expensive car. I went to a mercedes dealer with my dad the other day and they let me drive an e500 4matic and s600 4matic without hesitation. the guy at the MB dealer didn't even take my driver's license. what's more is that he didn't even come with my dad and I. My family has two mercedes, two lexus, two audis and an evo and it's amazing how much different the dealers are.

I test drove the g37 a few months back when my mom was shopping for a car and honestly it was kinda slow for my taste. Waaay to luxurious and not enough *****! My mom ended up buying the 328xi auto with nav and that little all wheel beast moves! I have a 6spd TL with close to 260 hp through various upgrades and her 328 is not as fast as My TL but it's close and handles tight as a drum! I'm going this sat to possibly trade up for the x provided that I like what I see when I drive it and that they give me a good amount for my TL I"m also considering the xi 3 series coupe. Shopping around is the best thing you can do and my advice is to go with the car that has the best performance in your opinion. I drove evo8's and srt-4's before and liked the srt better for some reason. The 8 seemed like a rattle box in comparison. (no disrespect to anyone) but in life just remember that you have to do what makes you happy even when others knock you for it and don't understand it.

I did and i wouldnt get base of either. I need all the little gadgets. Basically they will both come out to roughly $44-46k MSRP with all packages (G37 is max'd out at $46.xxx with EVERYTHING) and the MR will be $38k base + 5k or so for all the packages and extras.

Now lets factor in premiums. on the MR people will either be nice and charge MSRP or they will be bastards and charge premiums over 5k and up, putting it to more than the base MSRP of a G37

But, since the G37 has been out and is very easy to get, it will be alot cheaper, probably 5-10k under MSRP. which then places the price difference with the G37 being cheaper by 5-15k.

Now to compare specs

G37 has:
Full leather interior with electronic EVERYTHING(nothing cooler than being able to get out of the back seat with a push of a button )
330HP RWD 270tq(alittle more i think)
Nav System and all those other electronic goodies.
Bose sound system (... come on now, it speaks for itself)
and all the other exterior things we love, headed side mirrors, reverse camera, HIDs etc etc

MR has:
just shy of 300hp and a bit over 300tq i believe, cant remember the EXACT specs
Interior:
Ricardo Racing seats... other than that.... the same ****ty *** interior you get in the 14k lancer?
decent sound system.. but come on.. bose.
Nothing power still right? that saddens me, but it is 4 door so you can easily get in the back :P but then thats another thing 4 doors, more practical (but i could get am M35 if that was the case, but i dont care about 2 more doors specially considering the M35 is 10k more lol)
but now for the things that make the evo...
S-AWC
SST
AWD

So sure, the G37 doesnt have the SST or S-AWC or AWD, but it has so much more to the actual car. if it came down to what i would buy for a TRACK, id get an evo. but lets face it people we arent living on tracks. Its nice to have power and fun while feeling like youre actually safe or in a very nice car.

Again the question is, is the S-AWC that much better than the stability systems on the G37, is it worth the extra money for your front wheels to move with your rear ones, and is the SST tranny and all the others mentioned not only worth the money, but is it worth sacrificing what could be the most luxurious car you could ever buy without losing any power.
