I think its good they dont let people test drive...if you are going to buy an Evo X you are going to buy one test drive or not..

I was pissed when my Evo has 19 miles when I got it. You get some salesman who doesnt know about the break in period and some douche is banging on every gear and people wonder why their **** breaks.

your examples of people working minimum wage to pay off an evo while living at home is friggin hilarious. would you honestly want to be in that situation? or even remotely close to it? if you work min wage and live at home, you better save your money for school to get a better job. not thinking about buying fast cars and sh*t like that.

everybody loves to brag about what they have, what they can do, or who they know on the internet. the problem is when you do this in real life and end up screwing yourself and your family just to get "props" from people who really don't give a sh*t about you. feels good to get recognition. but at what cost?

i honestly hope you do graduate, get a good job, and have a great life. just don't let your "image" get in front of what's really important. you say you have been through some hard times in your life. it's now your duty to prevent that from ever happening again and especially for that not to happen to your kids. if that means you drive a geo metro and not a evo x, G37, R8, or M3... you drive that damn geo!

yes i sound high and mighty. but you're still very young. making money is never guaranteed and using up all your money can be easier than you think...
Like ive said before, i completely agree, and if i was making min wage and didnt have money saved up, then yes i wouldnt even think about getting a nice car. But, im making a fairly nice wage and have a decent ammount saved up. Funny or not, i was just showing how someone without anything to worry about could pay for a car That would have been a nice plan to do from about 15-21 that definitive 6 year span where youre garanteed to still be at home by choice (atleast in my situation) but now there is the possibility of moving away from home and dealing with life, so if i was making min wage and didnt have money to fall back on or school completely paid for, then yeah i would worry. But for now im fortunate enough to be sitting comfortable, Plus if and when i do marry her, and have kids, she loves my family and we'd end up right back around them so my children could grow up with them. (whole plan of having my own house on the same property fits this "future model")

Dont trash the Metro's sir, they own face! wtf ever happen to geo? Beside the fact that they suck.

Thats why i said they need salesman who know about cars to go out on the test drives, but if its going to happen anyways its going to happen. hell i wouldnt be surprised if a salesman put those 19 miles on your evo

When may comes i will have money in hand ready to throw on an MR IF i like it better than any other car i've driven between now and then. Apparently from what everyone says it rides alot nicer than previous versions, still has all the asskicking amazingness to it but i just hope its power and handling/smoothness can help me look past the fact that the interior still blows and i wont get my feet kissed or someone at my every beckoning like i would a beemer, lexus or infiniti

And at 72 months, you won't get the best interest rates unless you're a member of a credit union. So, $42k for 72 months at 5.9% (a good rate for 72 months) is $694 monthly payment.

To have a $450 monthly payment you would have to put $15k down.
LOL, You forgot to add gas prices, insurance, and services...just the brake along on an Evo isnt cheap. Cant go to Autozone to buy brake pads for $19.99

The big picture is that $700 is more like $950 monthly

I know you can't lease an X at this time - and I'm pretty sure you weren't able to lease an Evo ever (in the states) but don't hold me to that.

I did find this thread that seems to explain leasing pretty well.
