This was aftermarket?

How many people got that rear door clear sticker from the dealer/new? How many didn't? I'm curious now.

For those reading and fearing, I don't have nearly as bad of tales to tell after about a year. My worst chipping is at an odd place -- my side skirts (non aero), well, SKIRT. Drivers side where I get in and out with leather dress shoes has dropped about 10 noticeable nicks on that thing.

Oh, I avoid driving on gravel roads like most people avoid talking religion at a bar. I might be more averse than that even. only 10miles out of 15000 on gravel, and then at a fast walking pace. I get daily religion with 100 yrds of driveway, and that is MORE than enough for me.

Yeah I would have clearbra on full hood and back doors/ rockers, except i wasnt here on friday to recieve the package, so today I decided to stay home ALL day, because I wanna get that stuff on there..However, the UPS moron decided he would stop at the neighbors house (Who I am fairly sure do not have the same address as me) to attempt to deliver my package (which requires a signature) and then leave because they had a gate. I waited all day today for the stuff to come because you have to be at home for the signature, so around 730 P.M. I see him drive right by.. .. so i walk over to my neighbors and sure enough, an attempted delivery slip. . So now I get to do it on my birthday tomorrow.

Summary= Do Not use UPS for delivery, their drivers obviously cannot read addresses.

anyways, enough with the rant, I installed my first bit of Ventureshield on my front bumper two days ago, and I must say I am pleased, it is bubble free and nearly invisible, unless you know its there. Recommend it to anyone who has stock side skirts w/o mudflaps.

Wow.

I banged the crap out of my mirror with my golf bag and clubs, trying to be 'thin', and when I hit my mirror and door with my stuff, I didn't do anything at all like those Aftershock141 pictures. I'm thinking that those marks do not look like flying road debris. That ride's been marked by other cars in parking lots standing still for most of the marring. Bummer. Park in the back of the parking lot, man. Its well worth the extra walk. Never park close to anything. Why?

I just went through the last few pages of this and don't care to look through all 23 pages, what does this cost? I know it will be different depending on what I want to cover but how much are you guys paying to cover front bumper, front of hood, rear doors where wheel arch starts, and skirts?

Also is this something that's pretty easy to do on your own? Will I need a heat gun? Or should I just have it professionally done? My girl just got a normal lancer last week and I want to do this before the paint goes to **** rather than later.

I would just have it professionally done. Mine was $750 and covered the front bumper, hood, mirrors, headlights, inside the door handles, and like 1/2 of the rear doors and a majority of the rear quarter panels.

I'm into detailing my current car, and would hate to buy a brand new car and end up with such problems so quickly. What's it look like to wash it with this clear stuff on? What if you did a good detailing and then had it installed, how does it look?

I had the clear bra installed on the the front of my Car but I should have had them do the rockers in front of the rear wheels. Even with big Rally Armor flaps at 2500 mile the rockers are looking pretty knackered. Such is life, the car can't be a trailer queen.

Rally Armor front flaps on this X. Same mileage last X looked sandblasted. This one has not one nick! Really liking these.

I should be more clear, I had 200 miles on the car when I put on the Mudflaps, now at 2500 miles the rockers are ruined. Bad luck I guess. I've got them as far out as they can go.

The rockers on my OB X are already trashed. I decided to say **** it as I hate mudflaps. It's not a freaking rally car. I'll make the dealer repaint it in 3 years when it's down to bare metal. Or they can fix it now by repainting that section and clear-bra-ing it for free. Clearly a factory defect. I'll pay nothing out of pocket to fix or solve this cause I honestly don't care much... but if I can get it fixed for free, I'm all for it.
