Nope, you can get alot of the exotics with manuals, they just sell alot with the F1/egear combos. My 355 is one of 2 that came in manual trans.

I ordered mine as I wanted it with the options. It was being built. They didnt have the color I wanted with the options (especially the nav system). I dont mind waiting.

have you ever been on a track? A good driver is good with both transmissions. Im not too sure but I think a F1 car is a little faster than my evo...not by much though

Theres a difference between a stock 600hp car with paddle shifters and a 300hp Japanese car with them....

And nothing beats a manual when it comes to fun.
exactly. A good driver knows how to use a third pedal

Haha, not all but just ignore that guy. He knows nothing about cars that cost more than $80k.

Could I make a couple suggestions then?

First, cancel you're account with all Evo forums and then log off and never, never turn your computer on again! They will just suck you in an you WILL end up modifing you're car. I'm proof of that! I lasted a little over a year.

Second, keep the IX and don't by the X! If you want to keep it "bone" stock, I think you will have more fun with the IX. I don't think the X is all that great stock. Then again I havn't driven one with a stock reflash from Mitsu. Pre-reflash, I think they felt like my friend's Mazda Speed 6, comfortable and slow!

In the end, you will probably buy the X, then at some time modifiy it and will have a great car. Enjoy
