installed boost gauge wrong?
Okay so i have a question. i installed an MBC and a gauge about a month ago. i set the mbc to 22psi. a day later my car went into "Limp Mode" while i was on the freeway, CEL came on and car was only limited to 20mph tops. so i took out the controller and my boost gauge shows that my car is only running 13psi of boost. i thought that it just messed up the electric boost controller but i just got the new factory reflash today and boost is still at 13psi. did i install my boost gauge wrong or something? i hooked it up to my BOV hose.
I have mine installed in the bypass valve hose as well. It's T'ed into the bypass valve hose where the hose enters the intake manifold. No problems with my install at all.
If you installed the gauge correctly, then it sounds like you either have a bad gauge or a boost gauge line with a hole in it.
Or it may be your wastegate lines are run incorrectly after you removed the MBC.

yeah i got tired of getting the limp mode so i just took it off. i'll check all the hoses tomorrow. do you think it has to do with the extra hose that came with the mbc? because i didnt take it off since i didnt think it would make a difference

Well guys, I have the same issue and I think it's because I had an MBC, but took out the restrictor pill in the line to the wastegate.
Is there anyway to fix this w/o putting the pill in the line? Or just enjoy 13 PSI until I get reflashed and put the MBC back on?
