Evo 9 to Evo X. Any regrets?
I am in Nashville for about another month as I have to move to Cleveland, OH for a job. I actually bought mine in Louisville at Sam Swope (I just finished up school up there). They currently have 3 EVO GSRs left (2 red, 1 silver) and do not mark up the cars (please PM me if you are interested in going there and I will split the bird dog fee with you). It is hard to get a test drive though.
As to Hallmark, I think that is the old Hayes Mitsubishi...If under new managment then they may be fine, if the same old management, I have heard bad things. The best Mitsu dealer in Nashville used to be Rally Mitsu but they have closed.

I haven't seen another X on the road in Nashville yet. I'm in the Cool Springs area.
I live in the akron cleveland area!!! and I'm from nashville/franklin area!!! PM me and I'll let you in on all the evo hangouts in the area!!! I'm also coming down to franklin cool springs area on memorial day weekend... message me!!
I got my X and my IX at South Coast for below invoice; They delivered the IX, and I flew out and collected the X. I got my VIII at Murfreesboro Mitsubishi. Hallmark is not Hays, its the Volkswagen dealer in Rivergate, who is now carrying Mitsu. Really nice guys.

No it isn't. Hallmark VW/Mitsu is down on the other side of Gallatin Pike across from the Chevy dealer. Its been there as a VW dealer for several years. Hays had different owners, and was located between Nissan and Mazda. That place was a total shark tank.
i really like the X looks.. i'm more of a track/autox guy so i think the X would be better for me then my IX.. but im just worried about all the little problems with the first year of the X.. i'm thinking of waiting till the release the 2009 evoX and hope they make some changes to the paint/tranny/clutch..
OK...did not want to start an argument just made sense given the location. I know several who got screwed at Hayes.

so far, a grand total of 1 former 8/9 turned 10 owner has come out and plainly said that the 10 is more fun. it's always important to note what people don't say, meaning that i am surprised people aren't just picking one or the other.

why even ask this question? isnt it pretty obvious that any one who just spent 32k on a new car is going to think its a better car? Especially when so many X owners already have a complex about not owning a "real" evo anymore. Go test drive one or even better find a friend who will let you beat on it and make the decision for yourself.

btw, i have had the chance to drive the car on many occasions (thanks Nick) and i have my thoughts, but i think that people that actually own the car, have real seat time in it, would have a lot more to say.
