I wasn't sure if he was correct and gave him the latest TSB (from here) and he showed me on the computer that it recently was terminated. I still was hesitant so I asked him to call the Mitsubishi tech line and they confirmed there is only one flash that covers all X's now.

Newest flash covers stumbling RPM at idle, slow dropping of RPM, hesitation above 5k, high altitude and is supposed to lean the map a bit. I didn't get the TSB but I will try to remember it next week when I head up there.

I only have about 500 miles on the car so I didn't hit it to hard but I can tell the power band pulls much smoother to 5k where I stopped.

Hmmm good information, if anyone has this new TSB, let us know

went to the dealer yesterday for the reflash - my car was built in march. The tech said i already had the reflash but i didnt believe him so he brought me back and showed me how the machine worked. the only reflash available was a high altitude reflash. i saw the tsb for this (the tsb referred in this thread) reflash but it didnt come up as "available flashes" so he said it was already applied and he wasn't going to apply the high altitude since I didnt live in denver...

Supposedly this flash was updated to cover all X's and is the "all in one" flash now. This is the only active flash that is available from what I understand if you read my post above. Fixed all the small idling problems and it's a lot smoother now.

It's possible the dealer and Mitsh tech were wrong but not likely.

any documentation on it? I read the laptop readout for the tsb and it clearly said it was related only to high altitude - thats why the guy said he wasnt going to put it on

I got flashed today (dealership is dumb BTW) and it seems ok. Still runs rich by the look of the black smoke in the rear view mirrow when I'm getting on it. Also had a weird moment where the car bucked about 4 times quickly.. Didn't do it again but it was ODD to say the least. Idle is greatly improved but not perfect and still has little mild quirks.

Seriously considering a performance reflash and playing dumb if ever questioned on it.

just get a cobb accessport and flash it back to factory before taking it to the dealer - cobb has came out and said that a dealer wouldnt be able to tell if it had been previously flashed.

So will this take care of the hesitation issues and rough idle? If so the accessport might be on the list of must haves before the end of the year.

Oh, and will the stock clutch be able to handle the additional power?

Just got my car reflashed, they gave me the TSB-08-13-006 REV. Cause the only problem I was having was idling issues. We shall see if this fixes her up.
