It shouldn't be doing that obviously. Something is up. I have the same mod list pretty much as you and just got the flash. So far so good. I will report what I think of it when I take it up to red line a few times later maybe.

So far noticeable differences: flash #2 TSB 08-13-011 VEH RUNS SPUTTERS --POSS REFLASH - PSM PROGRAM

1.) Smoother to red line for sure but NO POWER GAIN feeling in my opinion.
2.) I noticed driving normally that the mpg is a lot better and easier to keep steady.
3.) Stupid bog from 1st to 2nd is still there(Vishnu said their piggy back got rid of this but they disappeared off the face of the earth when it comes to the X.)
4.) Turbo spools faster by about 300-600 RPM
5.) Shifting is smoother and the car keeps boost better during power shifts.
6.)Car wants to be pushed harder now and 7000k-7500k rpm flows quick and smooth now.
7.)No choking or bogging so far from running to rich, though to note, the car STILL RUNS RICH! I still back fire.
8.)Mods still offer pretty clear and obvious gain and stack onto the flash number #2. The mods like the flash.
9.) Bad Boost taper down to the 13 or 14 psi is still most likely present BUT less noticeable with a smoother power band now.
10.) Still lots of hidden potential with a tune feeling is left.

I'll see what else I notice later when I drive the car some more.

anyone know what VIN numbers are affected? i'm looking at EVOs with VINs xxx050000 or higher... is it safe to say that these don't need the reflash? are the ECUs reflashed from the factory for cars not affected by the TSB?

On a recent trip to denver and back with 16 hrs of driving time and elevation changing from 2500-9000 (in mountains) i averaged 24.9 mpg. This was with tons of very grandma hwy driving and a short stint of very agressive mountain driving.

so. 24.9

You need to look at the production date. I think anything with a production date of 04/2008 or earlier are eligible for the flash.

It depends on the dealer. My Evo X was made in March 2008 so it should be eligible, but my dealer spent 3 hours "testing misfires" and then told me Mitsubishi hasn't released any reflashes. I called Mitsu and they said some dealers won't do anything unless the check engine light is on, and that I can try a different dealer.

Finally I'm going tomorrow to get it. Let's hope this solves it. We'll see.

Can any one give me some feedback. I brought my X in for its second reflash, the first time i got the flash it was due to the care stalling while i was sitting in the car at home. The second time i brought the car in was due to hesitation in 2nd, 3rd and 4th. I just got the second reflash about ahhhh and hour ago and i wen to the mall and when i came out after only 30 minutes the car just stalled, i started it again and the rpm kept falling to 0 and jumping back to about 800rpm. Is anyone else having problems with the second reflash?

I just got my Reflash ..011 and it runs WAYYY better at higher RPMs. I went to South Coast Mitsu, I had Paul help me with the service LET ME SAY WOW what a nice guy. I give Paul at South Coast a big for service. Now i have to go back for the Oil leak (very minor) which i just noticed coming from the timing cover near the water pump. I called Paul and he said bring it down no problem.

my car was made 04/2008, is this for sure the cut off date for the reflashes?
