^not possible. I had the first reflash and got the second and mpg is better as well as power delivery. No more initial bog when first pressing the gas after shifting and no more jerking in the high revs. I think it's most likely because it's so much hotter these days that the car feels slower because of the heat and mpgs will be slightly worse. Coincidental if you ask me.

I gotta say that the 2nd reflash the car feels weaker and my fuel economy went down with the 2nd reflash. I was getting 21-22 MPG on the highway and now I'm getting closer to 19.5 - 20 MPG.

Anyone else seeing worse fuel economy with the 2nd reflash?
I didnt have to have the 1st Flash, but I noticed a big difference in how smooth the car was when I get the newest one. I cant imagine it decreasing the performance. It is way warmer now than when I got the car also and it still run a lot better, but I put a HKS filter on it to which I doubt makes that much differnce but it is smoother. Plus it pulls good to redline now no hesitation.

Sounds like the factory left a lot of room for further (factory) tuning!

I just got my reflash #2...car seems to be smoother throught the band and pull a little harder from my butt dyno. Only thing that seems strange is that the average miles per gallon meter resets itself now every time I shut down the car and power it back it. Before the reflash it would keep counting until i reset it by holding down the info button. Has anyone else noticed this? Is this normal?

No, have not noticed this. I do wish it would keep the milage until I reset it myself like my wife's legacy. On hers, I use the trip A for cumulative milage and the trip B for each tank. Her gas milage has improved on average around 4 MPG since we bought the car.

Is this the same TSB number as last time? I got the 1st flash when it first came out, and today I went in for this one and they said that I already have it. They said that both were out when I got mine about 6 weeks ago, so I asked if I could read the TSB detail on their screen to see if it was indeed for the 5500rpm and up fuel trim and sure enough that is what it said.

Anxiously awaiting ECUflash

I thought this was just me. I went to settings and set it to Manual reset and every morning my car has gone goldfish on me and reset it back to Auto.

Did you try calling Countryside Max Madsen Mitsubishi the one on LaGrange Rd. off the I-55 highway? I'm picking up my new car tomorrow at that location and going to ask if they already have the second reflash on it before I drive it off the lot.

K, I didn't believe all the mpg talk after second reflash, but today I get 24mpg going against 30mph wind on a 20 mile trip, and coming back I got 26 mpg with the wind. Both ways I drove 70mph with 95% highway driving. I did say it made the car smoother, but before flash I never never got better than 21mpg ever so big improvement. f Sorry I doubted you guys. I only have HKS drop in.
