We need a X MR w/ the bulletproof 5 speed and better gearing. Modding to 350WHP sounds about right w/ all this extra weight. How about some light weight power leather recaros too!

I wished they would up the ante with a 400hp 3300lbs MR.

There is no EVOX MR yet in Japan. When they do release it', I'm sure it ain't just gonna be a GSR w/ options. Wouldn't make sense to release a special Japanese MR version when it's just a Japanese GSR w/ options (2 piece rotors, bilstens, bbs, rims - the rest are not performance related).

I guess for 3 generations the US has been getting "fake" MRs...
The US did get a FAKE MR (IX) in the past, didn't even come with SAYC just like the other regions. It's nice that the GSR's in the US are in parity with their Japanese counterparts (aside from not offering the SST option in the US GSR).

"Mitsubishi told Inside Line that a five- or six-speed manual is in the works for the U.S.-market Ralliart in the States, although it could be expected to cost as much as the vehicle with the twin clutch with all the work necessary to reprogram and manipulate the vehicle."

6 speed manual.... if the rumors are true about a 6MT on the RA, why not the X?

I know you're itching to buy the Evo X but take your time to research before you put down that much money on a car that you still know nothing about. Things also don't always get better with time, some companies realize that a car is selling well so they following year they town down on the quality because they know it's going to sell anyway. Plastic pedals anyone?
just so you know, they NEVER figured out that problem. my 06 IX MR still has that problem.

you're an idiot. the X MR has been out for quite some time in japan. difference is, over there you can get the GSR with SST, not just the MR. also, if the IX MR was fake because it didn't have SAYC, then ALL USDM EVO's are fake because none of them had SAYC which is standard on ALL trim levels of the EVO in other countries.

Can you provide a site, or some info stating that Japan already has EVO X MR's?

Because reading around - I see stuff like this, and things like these were just posted last month.

The Lancer Evolution X MR is on the way, with a new fascia equipped with extra venting and a new air intake, while a revised rear wing, side skirts and blacked-out wheels complete the exterior makeover. Output is increased by 20 hp (in UK spec) to 305 hp and the mid-range has been tweaked to provide more low-end torque, dropping the 0-60 time to under five seconds. The paddle-shifted SST twin-clutch transmission transfers over from the GSR model (likely with some software revisions) and the body has been stiffened to maximize the MR's handling.
Moreover, the wikipedia EVO X available model in Japan states the following.

Japanese models

The engine is the 4B11-type 2.0 litre inline-4 turbo, derived from the World Engine in Lancer. Engine is rated 422 N·m (311 ft·lbf) (43.0 kg-m) at 3500 rpm. Aluminum is used in the roof panel, front fenders and the rear spoiler frame structure.[20]

* RS - 5 speed manual transmission. 18-inch tires. Driver dual-stage airbag. Standard Engine immobilizer.
* GSR - Standard rear spoiler. 5 speed manual or 6-speed Twin Clutch SST transmission (magnesium paddle shifters on SST model). 245/40R18 tire on Enkei 12-spoke high-rigidity cast alloy wheels or optional BBS lightweight alloy wheels. Brembo ventilated disc brakes. Standard S-AWC 4WD system. Driver and front passenger dual-stage airbag. Standard. Engine immobilizer with security alarm. Optional Mitsubishi Motors Communication System (MMCS) which comprises a 30Gb hard disk drive audio/navigation system with 7 inch LCD screen. Optional Rockford Fosgate premium sound system. Optional keyless remote entry.

GSR can be fitted with following packages:

* High Performance Package - Bilstein single tube shock absorbers and Eibach coil springs, brembo 2-piece disc brakes, high performance tires with stiffer walls and better grip.
* Stylish Exterior Package - Chrome finish for the front grille lattice and beltline molding, body color-keyed fender vents, adds fog lamps.
* Leather Combination Interior - The seats matches the color of the exterior.
* Premium Package - All 3 above packages plus 18-inch (460 mm) BBS lightweight alloy wheels.
Please provide a link or shut your trap. The Japanese EVO-X MR is still being mulled over right now, it's simply not the GSR+SST /w packages (which is what the US EVO X MR is). There will be things in it to make it unique. The USDM EVO IX MR was basically the EVO IX GSR in Japan except it didn't have the SAYC (there were no EVO IX MR's in Japan). EVO8 MR was a model in Japan that had 6-speed transmission, bilstein shocks, and factory optional BBS wheels (made the EVO8 MR unique to the 8 GSR - which later became standard on the EVOIX GSR).

then ALL USDM EVO's are fake because none of them had SAYC which is standard on ALL trim levels of the EVO in other countries
They had models in EVO IX models in Japan without SAYC.

Lol. I don't think a quote from wikipedia counts as backing up your opinion with a link. (I'm not saying you're wrong, just that your argument isn't very strong)

I'll give you a quote from wikipedia in regards to ARGUMENTS. There's no such thing as a strong argument, it's either valid, or it's not.

Validity

Main article: Validity

Arguments may be either valid or invalid. If an argument is valid, and its premises are true, the conclusion must be true: a valid argument cannot have true premises and a false conclusion.

USDM EVO X MR is JDM EVOX GSR(SST) + OPTIONAL PACKAGES.
JDM EVOX MR IS not released yet

so

USDM EVO X MR is NOT JDM EVO X MR.

What's so hard to understand? Past releases tells us that JDM EVO X MR will have bits in it to make it unique from its JDM GSR counterparts (just like the EVO VIII MR was unique from the EVO VIII GSR models).

What I would like in an MR is a *STRONG* six speed w/ the first five gears designed towards racing, and the SIXTH gear simply being an overdrive gear. How about using the current 5 speed design (same gearing), then just add a sixth gear to it strictly for highway cruising - 4000 RPM @ 80 mph sucks.

People will welcome easily replaceable clutches, makes those high HP guys happy, saves gas in the highway..
