2009 Evo X release date?

Does anybody know when they will be released to dealerships or when I can order one from a dealership?

Yep and they have no idea, I've asked four dealerships close to me and they do not know or they will call me back when they know (doubtful).

They cant even sell the 08's out. No reason to even ask when they are gonna get 09's.

Will 09s be different or just left over 08s?

Great question. I'm sure they will be slightly modified 2008 X's....i'm sure they have a crap ton of inventory, none of them are moving anywhere, so it would be cheaper for them to just re modify slightly at the factory before shipping them out as "2009" models.

Might see some beefier things...SST is an example...maybe a bit more horsepower, but even that is doubtful...probably just slightly upgraded creature comforts.

I test drove an Evo X over the weekend at the Park Ridge, IL Mitsu dealer and I was talking to them about that. They told me they predict that they may come out with different wheels and changes to the powertrain. I'm guessing they will probably be released around the same time as last year.

My personal prediction is that they may also have features like leather interior or sunroof?? Maybe...

By the way Park Ridge, IL mitsu dealer was really great to work with. I've been to many around Illinois and they are hands down the best. Also they were the first ones to admit the mitsu paint is garbage to me haha!

Who says the 2nd year of the Evo X will be better. If I remember correctly the 03's and 04's of the Evo still have that dreaded P0300 problem. It's not until the 05's that they figured out the problem. My word of advice is.. You'll always make a bad decision if you make a hasty decision. I know you're itching to buy the Evo X but take your time to research before you put down that much money on a car that you still know nothing about. Things also don't always get better with time, some companies realize that a car is selling well so they following year they town down on the quality because they know it's going to sell anyway. Plastic pedals anyone?

I sincerely doubt they will make any changes. The big news for 09 is the Ralliart and of course the MR finally getting here. I think it will be a carryover model which is why I bought my 08 yesterday for a killer deal since these cars are definitely not moving (I can see why, my gas mileage is a whopping 22 MPG HIGHWAY).

My cousin works at the US headquarters in Cali, and he told me last night that they have been working on, and trying to get ready for the '09 model, a larger turnine housing, and larger compressor wheel turbo, and a dual plate clutch manual for the GSRs. I'll let you know when I hear more info.
