That's because Mitsubishi Canada overpriced the EVO X in Canada. Nobody want's to pay for a Mitsubishi vehicle that sells for $8000 less south of the border. I know a couple of guys that had deposits on the X and cancelled once Canadian pricing became official. I'm holding off also hoping that common sense prevails eventually.

And fix the bloody trunk - the battery does not need to be back there.
Screw that, lol. The battery in the trunk is an awesome addition, one of my favorite changes from my 04 evo to my X. Trunk battery ftw.

I was at the dealer tonight looking at X's (10 GSRs, 2 MRs sitting on the lot) and I asked the sales manager if he has heard anything about the 09s and he said that they will be the same. They will only be adding a color option which is the same color orange that is on the Ralliart.

San Rafael Mitsu in North Bay SF has like 10 X's in its 'Evo Museum'.... Not alot of people wanting to get into a slower, heavier evo and start over again. They are proactively offering GSR's $30,500 last week...3 G's below sticker

RS model anyone? JDM has it where is ours? They could offer a 3300 lb RS at $29,999 and there will be more bites I bet. The upmarket approach in a weird economy is failing look at all your local lots.

Wonder what sales would have been like in '03 if the MR's were $40+ and wore all the pig lipstick Nav, AYC, climate control dash, speakers? That was a gamble MMNA didnt want to take and they came out well selling neutered Evo's to us....Evo's sold like mad around the 28-33k mark.

I'll take a bare RS X for 28k after haggle

Not sure you are right about this. The economy is down, sales for nearly everyone is down. If you look at the numbers for Mitsu in the US, it is mainly the trucks and SUVs dragging the sales down. All cars mitsu is down ~10% for the year. If you include all vehicles it is ~30%.

IMO, the approach is correct, just bad timing.

So you are trying to tell us that IX's and VIII's would be flying off lots in present economical times?

The RS models sold horribly when they were available here. I don't see why all of a sudden they would be a popular seller in a down economy.

The Ralliart and RS are two completely different cars with completely different buyers in mind.

I've long said this is a possibility. The Evo has never sold well here.
