2009 Evo X release date?
Figures that be something Mitsu would do...if they would address some of the faults of the 08's they would probably sell more. If they put a 6sp in it I would buy one.
Has anybody kept a running total on (USA) sold evo 10's? Must not be more than 1500-2000 of them on the streets. With a lot of good deals to be potentially had on languishing evos (and every other type of non economy car in this market), It's no wonder that the Ralliart has been horribly delayed (on purpose I'm sure). How could you expect to sell a $26k-$27k RA when it is parked next to a discounted $28K- $29k evo?
I find it hard to believe that it would even be legal that a car maker could change window stickers and make 2008's into 2009's. If they were still in port or at the factory..maybe.
What was/is the yearly evo production anyhow?

thats messed you. Can't they get into trouble for that, marketing an 08 as an 09?
And how is one supposed to tell what year it was manufactured in? Can you look at the vin number or something.
I am asking because I am thinking about getting one in like 2 to 3 weeks.

I'm sure most can hold on...the smart thing to do right now is probably to wait until the 2009's are released or at least announced to see what changes they are making.
If they decide to keep it the same, the prices of the 2008's will drop a bit.
And, if they decide to implement a 6-speed and modify the engine a little bit, then you'll be kicking yourself for buying it now.

They can't re-badge 08's as 09's as they have to be sold as 08's and dealers would be the last place to look for information as they aren't going to tell you 09's have improvements when they still have 08's on the lot to clear and half of them don't even know about the Ralliart for crying out loud. There will be some minor changes for sure but things have been pretty quiet so it's anyone's guess.

If you open the driver;s side door, on the bottom right of the pillar it will say when the car was manufactured. At least that how my IX is, June 06.
this is UAE info only
I was looking to jump on a X this weekend, but the dealer in CT wasn't able to give me enough on my 330i so I guess I am relegated to wait... Anyhow, since the X's aren't selling like hotcakes, I don't forsee Mitsu bringing an updated/better X to the table especially with the current dealer inventory. The shop I went to in CT is really small and they have about 10 Evo's looking for a new owner. Oh well, I think Mitsu will do what they did with the IX when I bought my first one, once the early 06' inventory was depleted, they brought out the 2006.5 IX SE. So I think a 2009.5 X may be in the works with slight improvements to drive sales once the 08 inventory is down. My .02 cents.
