will the 370z out-perform the Evo X?
On a road course, there's a very good chance the 370Z with the optional suspension package would be out an unmodified X. The 370Z was benchmarked to the Cayman S. Go to Youtube and you'll find a video of a road course shootout in Japan with the Cayman S beating the EVO X, STI, and BMW 135i. I still like the X even though the 370Z exhaust has the sweetest exhaust note.

Don't forget, the Cayman is a pain in the butt and expensive to mod, let alone the question whether the mods do actually provide much benefit over an already superb and nicely balanced machine. It sucks for mid engine cars if the rear doesn't open up like clam shells in those GT1 cars.
LMAO @ You... seriously... who are you convincing?
A stock X has been shown TIME and time again to beat a stock IX on closed tracks (no a track DOES not refer to a drag course - I mean a real track)... seriously... find another place to go justify your own inadequacies ....

I'm debating what I want too, Evo or 370Z. Came back from the dealer in Alhambra, CA. They want 10K over MSP! Damn dealerships. I asked how much they would go down... only 5k, so 5k over MSP. No wonder they said they sold zero so far!
If you recall they did same for the X when it first came out (at least here on the east coast). But in this economy, I would say those Nissan dealerships have ***** and I mean big ones to ask that much over MSRP!

Why does everyone insist on buying a car from their neighborhood dealership? You are obviously familiar with the internet, so buy the car wherever it is the least expensive. You can have it shipped for a few $100's (I shipped a car from NY to IN for $435). Or even better, fly out to pick up the car and have the road trip of your life; I bought a car in Miami, FL and drove it back to Austin, TX I never stopped once and I never stopped loving the car.
Ooops - this was off topic - sorry

Just hold off for a couple of months. The car will only be "HOT" until they get more on the lots and then you won't be paying a such a premium. The Evo has always been a low volume car, so dealers would always play the "Market Adjustment" card and charge way over sticker. The Z on the other hand is a mass produced sports car. It's always a hot seller when the new version comes out, but after 6 months or so it starts to go down fast.
I too want to get the 370z and have test driven it. Trust me I want it right now, but the sensible side of me says wait for the 2nd maybe even 3rd year. That way all the bugs are out of it, the demand is way down, so no mark ups. Also by the 3rd year there's always a refresh, maybe with a little bit of interior or exterior upgrades as well as a minor power tweek.

i was on the same plan on getting a 370z however just to try to turbo these cars it take a small fortune! 8-10k for a twin turbo!! so idk im kinda rethinking it all and leaning again more to the Evo side...
put it this way.... i wanted an evo X, and a 370z... i drove the Z and LOVED it, but think of this.... It will end up just like the 350z, and everyone's daughter and grandma will drive one, so stick with the EVO, yes the 370 is sexy, but its TOO COMMON
