Who cares? Drive what you like. What if everyone on your block had a Ferrari F430, would you not drive it just because it's too common?

350Z NA< EVO X FI. NA cars are hard to extract ponies from. The evo X you do some basic bolt on and a tune and hes done for. These are the facts. With an NA car you waste more money and time trying to get where a forced induction car is.

Dont get me wrong the 370z is a very nice car and puts down some nice numbers. In the end i'd rather go with an EVO any day of the week. Shiet, waste a couple of bills to get up in the 12 sec. range where do i sign up.

BOOST FTW!!!!

I don't think it's all about the power sometimes though.. Am I crazy for saying that?
I think NA would be a lot more stable in corners for rwd cars, I wouldn't want a turbo'd rwd unless it was silky smooth or sequential turbos.

If you DO spend the money to boost a 370z though... wow! There's no replacement for displacement!

On the old VQ35, you had to build the motor. On the new engine... I'm not so sure.

Regardless, if you wanted 500whp, an Evo probably wouldn't hit the necessary boost pressure/full spool until about 4.5k rpms or so. A Z? Probably about 2.5k rpms. Makes for a MUCH fatter powerband and nicer to drive.

You do know that the 370Z is VERY likely to run 12's out the box, right? So you'd "waste a couple of bills" to run 12's in the X when you can waste 0 bills and do the same in the Z.

Anyways, why the hell do people keep bringing up mods? Everything goes out the window once the car's modded. Stock for stock, the 370Z is VERY likely going to hand the X it's ***.

I have already posted this, but I find it funny this thread is still going. Motortrend just did a review on this car, and did one on the Evo X GSR a little while ago. The numbers were litterally even on almost all aspects. The 370z is even heavier than the X. The 0-60 and 1/4 mile was pretty equal as i remember, z had a little better stopping or something i think. Overall they are very close in performance stock, end of story, who cares beyond that, its not what the thread is about!

1. The 370Z is NOT heavier than a X.
2. The 350Z has already been proven to run 13.1@107 bone stock. With more power, better tires, about the same weight, the 370Z WILL run faster than that. Owners are already saying how much faster the car feels compared to their previous Z's (anything from '03-'08). It already stomps the 350Z in 0-60, 1/4, and trap speed (in mags, anyways, which is ALWAYS improved once the car is in the public's hands).
3. The thread IS actually about this. The title IS "will the 370z out-perform the Evo X?". If the thread is not about that, then what is it about?

I can't believe people still take magazines as gospel. Once they get in the hands of people on the streets is when you start seeing what the car can really do.

It doesn't matter to me either way.. you can drive much in the snow with a RWD, you can't take a few friends or family out for the night in a Z, you don't have that fun turbo in the Z I love the Z, and think it's definitely an awesome car .. always have thought that, and if I didn't plan on having kids and wasn't getting married in a few months, I would seriously consider it, but I am, so the Evo is a better fit for me.

Besides... they are 2 different animals, admire them both, as they are both cars that have EXCELLENT performance per dollar.

Bottom live is the Z will sell much more than the EVO X...

WHY?

-Nissan brand > mitsu brand at present.
-Better looks
-more power
-Better marketing
-more dealers to sell and service the cars
-Nissan has other cars that are cool and sell well

That being said i would still take an XMR over any Z... but most consumers will not agree
