Evo n00b...

Well guys.. this is my first post.. I am coming out of a 2008 6MT infiniti G37 that was crashed by a family member of mine.. Car had some NA mods.. It will forsure be missed. I always wanted the EVO X but it was not released soon enough so i had to pick up the G37.. I am in the process of picking up a WW GSR. And i am going to start modding immediately. I will be going as far as picking up 35R turbo.. I would like to stick with a single exhaust.. obviously a device to tune with.. all the works. Sorry for being a complete EVO noob.. I would really appreciate your guy's advice..

i am not a modding expert but there are tons of other mods you may want to consider before upgrading the turbo. plenty of power to be made for a lot less money and less of a project.

I believed he was trying to insinuated that the stock clutch is rubbish. You should replace the gas pad and seats before adding a bigger turbo also.

Why would you need a big turbo other then the fact telling people that you have a big turbo?

other than to say you have a 35R, why would you want one? slooooow sppoooooooool sucks.

FPRed is sweet because it bolts into the factory spot. No weird setup or anything like that.

Of course, you're gonna need supporting mods, which means you're on your own for injectors. You'll likely want the UR double pumper setup for fuel delivery. And make friends with an EcuTek tuner, because you're gonna put their kids through school (your other option is an AccessPort with it's stage1 map and beta ECUFlash if you can find it).

And I'm not sure why you want single exhaust. Dual looks way better IMO. Don't forget an o2 housing..... and I assume you'll be catless (in Cali no less).

Don't forget other mods to make you really fast... like brakes (2 piece rotors from Girodisc sounds good if you've got the $$), suspension (I mean, if you're spending the money get some nice coilovers and I really like the way the Cobb sways look). Might get a body kit too while you're in there. And some sweet 3 piece 20" wheels.

F-it man, now you've spend $60k. Hope you like your M3.

(I've owned two G's.... and the X stock is infinitely more fun. Wait at LEAST a month before you go nutz modding it because I tell you what, you are going to regret the decisions you make right now a LOT in 6 months. The G has so much more power down low. And if you put that big *** turbo on the X you're going to absolutely HATE it.

Nice pun.

And I agree with the above, you're off the in the deep already. You don't need all that to enjoy this car.

"for starters"

WHY do you think you need to upgrade the stock turbo (other than to say you have?)?

I don't understand what you are trying to build here.... Get a goal, then work to that goal.
