yup, my driver's seat was replaced under warranty. the replacement looks like a tighter fit near the plastic piece and the fabric, just like my passenger seat.

I just noticed that the inner insert on the recaros are not directly attached to the linign of the blosters. You can actually stick your hand deep into that lining and get under that bit of cushining. Not that its and issue at all, but i have never seen an OEM seat like this.

So has anyone actually received brand new seats or just the seat cover? I am taking mine in on Monday. This is going to be a serious debacle I can see it now. The dealership is taking it to a local upholstery shop and they are scheduled to have the car for 2 days. Problem is...they will not be driving my car. The Service Manager mentioned that I will drop it off at the dealership and then they will bring it to the upholstery shop. I'm not sure what's so hard about me dropping it off at the upholstery shop and me picking it up whenever they are finished. I don't want anyone joyriding in my car.

Will they let you just drop off the seats? No reason to have the car if they are not working on it right?

Michael

he is saying you could just take the seats out and drop them off. I worked at an upholstery shop for a while and people did that all the time.

If they are just doing a seat repair and it takes 2 days somethings wrong....no seat repair in the world takes more than an hour or so

They are fixing or replacing your seats right? Can you remove the seats from your car, and drop them off? Then pick the seats back up when they are finished or when new seats are ordered?

Just wondering.

yeah, thats not a malfunction issue. Seats are just icing for proof of reduced quality. I am surprised no one complains about the shift boot?

Does Mitsu do any kind of durability testing with this stuff before putting them in the car?? I understand they get them from recaro but do they realize they are giving them sub-par seats?!? The bucket seats in my grandmoms '86 New Yorker lasted longer! lol
