LIke its been said.... WELL known problem lol. Its not just the GSR's though as some of the Leather Recaros also have the issue.

My dealer was stupid and just re-stapled it. Looks like **** so im gonna pull off the belt loops and use some gorilla glue on the fabric.

They just pull apart. Dont use gorrila glue! All you need to do is pull apart the plastic pieces. Restretch the fabric and angle the staple away from the front. I used a little hot glue just to make sure. No problem last few months.

Can you elaborate on how to get the plastic pieces off the seat? Do they just pull apart or are there clips somewhere? What tool did you use to get them apart?

I want to fix my seats myself because taking it to the dealer is such an inconvinience.

Same issue on mine. I pulled the staples out and tucked the fabric. It looks fine for now but it will be an issue again in the future I'm sure.

IMO, going to the dealer or waiting weeks for a mitsu service rep for something that you could pay an Upholstery shop $20-$30 to fix is going to save you a lot of time.
